My therapist at Hruska clinic help me to to the “why” of the issue offering suggestions while looking at my whole person. The exercises I was given helped relieve my symptoms and have become tools in my toolbox so that I can restore the areas of tension back to a neutral place on my own. The suggestions about wearing a type of shoe was very fascinating to me as this small change made a huge impact on the pain I was having. I would highly recommend the Hruska clinic for all types of therapy needs. Getting to the source of the pain and not just “putting a bandaid on the problem” is one thing that really sets them apart.

I had previous problems with sacroiliac back pain. After thorough assessment, exercises and shoe recommendations I am completely pain free thanks to PT Lori Thomsen.I just brought my mother with knee pain to see her as well. Same thorough careful thoughtful approach. Thank you!!!

I have been to many PT clinics for the same low back issues for nearly a decade, that ended up resulting in spine surgery and my life soon crumbled all around me in my mid 20’s. I would get somewhat better (mainly by discontinuing activities like working out and working a physical job), but never seemed to get completely better. I was trapped in a vicious cycle. I was too young for these issues to be happening continuously. Little did I, nor the many MD’s and PT’s I’d been to, realize that the root of my issues were due to how my body sensed and managed gravity and airflow. Hruska clinic addressed these things in a way I’ve never seen or heard of. They treated my body as a whole, rather than disconnected unrelated segments. The changes were surprisingly fast. They explained how everything worked and why, instead of telling me “it’s bad generics.” or “all in your head” or robbing me all together of the opportunity to try to understand my body and what the problem was. I have never felt this good! I feel like I’m finally starting to get my life back! The staff are super friendly and took me seriously. Some of their methods may seem unorthodox, but is backed by loads of research. They look at the body differently than how a lot of people traditionally do. Ask questions! They’ll be happy to answer them and point you to actual proof. If you are somebody who’s been struggling for a very long time and all traditional forms of medicine have not helped you, this may be what you need. Don’t give up! You can get back to a pain free life filled with the things you enjoy. There is hope. You can get off the Merry go round of PT, steroid injections, surgery, pain medicine, etc. Thank you Hruska clinic!

I've had such a great experience with Ann Simsar this year. She's a very good communicator and listener. She understands each patient is unique and how a little tweak in what we're doing might be just what I need to achieve my goals. Last Fall, I had turned to OTC painkillers, if I wanted to walk for more than 10 minutes. The pain is gone now, and we're working on few things to ensure I can continue to be as active in retirement as I was years ago...maybe even more so!

I "graduated" from therapy today and couldn't be happier. I sought care because I was becoming more and more asymetrical which was causing back pain. Ann Simsar thoroughly explained what was going on with my body and gave me a series of exercises to correct my problem. The exercises didn't take long to do each day and I could feel myself getting stronger. No back pain! It felt like a miracle to me.

These people have saved my life. Post spinal fusion, still feeling pain and terrible, and no spine doctor or pt could tell me anything other than "you're just gonna have to live with it". Hruska clinic told me exactly what was happening and WHY(!!) and how to fix it and be pain free! I was very close to completely giving up on life and this clinic has saved me. I couldn't thank and recommend them enough. If you're in pain ANYWHERE, skip those regular physical therapist/doctor visits and come HERE! Flew from California and it has been the best decision I have ever made in my entire life. I'm not even religious but GOD BLESS

The 2 reviews on here claiming that this clinic isn't based on scientific research and that it's a scam could literally not be more incorrect. If you look into their website or just simply research their process online yourself, you'll see how incredibly scientifically backed and SUCCESSFUL their process is. Everything they explained to me made so much more sense than what previous pt's had told me before, and they are soon going to change the physical therapy industry completely with how they approach patients. I have never trusted anyone more than I trust these people. The bad reviews are simply people who's ego's are too big to accept a new and improved method of treatment different than what they've been used to (which clearly isn't working if they're still out here shopping for pt's). The science and results are there. Pick up your phone and look it up rather than waste your time complaining because you don't understand it. It makes me really upset because I do not want these types of ignorant people to keep people who are in pain from getting the help that will actually change their lives forever like this clinic has with me.

The Hruska Clinic are experts at treating patients who have struggled or tried other options with minimal success. From chronic pain, headaches, dizziness and more- they understand the connections in your body in a way that very few do. They are masters of the intricate connections and how one piece out of place can have a cascade effect on many other body systems. I have been seeing Lori regularly. She has compassionate, knowledgeable bedside manner and truly wants each patient to improve. The Hruska Clinic and Postural Restoration approach have healed me in ways no one else has; they are helping me get my life back- one exercise at a time!

Working with my Physical Therapist Dave Dummer at Hruska Physical Therapy has been a very pleasant experience. I had total knee replacement surgery. His experience and knowledge on what I need to do to recover has been 2nd to none. He knows exactly the right amount to push me but not so much that I don't want to do it anymore. I would highly recommend him for knee recovery therapy for sure.

My physical therapy issues were complicated and debilitating. I spent multiple years with other PTs and found little hope or relief. I went through two other PT offices in Lincoln. One of them had no idea what to do with me - from a traditional PT approach. When I was finally referred to Hruska clinic, they were able to get to the root issues of my movement struggles and get me into the right treatment program. It was not an easy road, and my body tended to be a moving target for the PTs here, too. But what I appreciated about Hruska clinic was that they always had another idea for attacking the problem and multiple tools to use with me. I am so much better now and only because Hruska clinic takes a different approach to physical therapy than the run of the mill PT.

If you have worked with a PT and still haven't resolved your issues, this is the place to go! I had the pleasure of working with this amazing therapist, Lori Thomsen at the Hruska Clinic. It took some time, patience and consistent dedication to the exercises and treatment she recommended. Traveling in a vehicle was so painful with lower back pain but I am so grateful for all Lori has taught me in retraining my body to move correctly. I can't thank her enough and will be forever grateful for your expertise, dedication to helping me achieve pain free travel. I feel like I've been given back my life of activity again. You really need to check the Hruska Clinic out! Amazing staff and their knowledge of how to treat each individual patient is most impressive!

I've never visited here, but I can tell these people care - their wbsite has a well known PDF (apparently) of clinic recommended shoes for physical therapy. I found this while researching PRI and biomechanic exercises utilizing color. Very useful and thorough information, so I'll rate them highly based on that.I'll also say that someone gave this place two stars because it seemed like the therapy was going in a different direction than they expected (including dental). I hope that person got the help they needed, or did research, because dental (TMJ/TMD) issues can be determined by doing SCT, commonly referred to as Scratch Collapse Test. This test can tell you if you have neurological issues, balance issues, or other issues with applying resistance to a given force.Physical therapists that know various body treatment modalities well know this. they also know you can use color (staring at a black or white background) to induce a positive result on the SCT if you have jaw issues, thus, the potential dental work by a maxillofacial surgeon.So yeah. Before you 'dismiss' treatment, there's a lot of science and art that goes into physical therapy and the body. Don't dismiss it.And wear awesome shoes while you're at it.
