Eric at the Tax Group abandoned all of his clients. He was negligent we found out for our last year‘s taxes, and then this year did not get them done and then abandoned all of his clients. No one knows where he is.

As a long-standing client of The Tax Group, I wanted to share my thoughts on some of the negative reviews I’ve seen being posted about one of the independent tax partners in this office. I have worked closely with Sharon and Jane and have only heard very positive comments about Brett. I think it is important to know that each person is independent of the other in this office and any negative review/comments directed at one person is solely on the person the review is directed towards, and it should not be seen as a reflection of all the wonderful people at The Tax Group. When one partner sells their business to another person, one cannot foresee if the person purchasing their practice will maintain the same level of excellence as the prior owner. I encourage all to see the negative reviews for what they are, directed at one partner and one partner only.

I wish I could give Eric at the Tax Group less than 1 star. I have been using The Tax Group for over 20 years now, but the past 2 years may be my last. The tax filing deadline has come and gone with no words or updates on the status of my filing. I've called multiple times, but never a return call. I dropped my tax paperwork off in February and it is now almost the end of October. I have been patient, but now my patience has run out. Sharon, who's place he took after she retired was absolutely amazing. There may be other people in that office that are skilled at their jobs, but unfortunately I did not have the option to use anyone else there. Truly disappointed in the service from Eric and I would highly recommend going somewhere else.

DO NOT hire Eric! Wish I could give zero stars. Had taxes done here for 15years with a past CPA. She retired and we were assigned Eric. Received a letter it would be seamless transition. Other 1 star reviews reflect the same experience. We turned in documents in Jan. I started calling a month later wondering what the hold up was. Was told I'm at the top of the pile and would be done soon. Then he no longer accepted or returned calls. I had to communicate with other partners to finally get taxes done in JUNE. Then when I went to sign for them I was being charged twice as much than ever before. Why wasn't that included in the introduction letter?!? Was told each partner sets their own rates. When I asked to be reassigned, I was then told they won't take another partners clients. So now I'm looking for a new tax place since the partners aren't worried about Eric running their reputation into the ground.

I'm very disappointed. Have had my taxxes done the past 6 years and was moved to a different CPA due to our previous CPA in the group retiring..We had our taxes turned in almost 2 months before the deadline and called several times prior to that and didn't receive a call back or any response. The morning of taxes being due reached out only to be told that they wouldn't be finished and couldn't provide me with a date when they would. I was told that they were finished in date order. . . .this left me looking for someone at the last minute. I don't care for being in panic mode and not having people reach out to let me know how things are progressing. Needless to say, if you use them, make sure that you get a finish date beforehand.

Very disappointed. They had my taxes for 2 months and did not complete. I picked up the uncompleted taxes and located a new company. Will no longer recommend.

My parents have been trying to get ahold of Eric for over 6 months with no contact. At this point they don't even know if their taxes are done. They have left messages with no response and they have gone into the office to leave messages but he's never there and works from home. Do NOT use this company if you like communication with your tax representative or if you like knowing whether your taxes were done or not.

We have gone to the tax group for over 30 years. Our taxes used to be done in a week to 10 days. What a change this year after Sharon left. They had our paperwork for over 5 weeks and our taxes still were not done. We picked up our unprepared tax papers today and will no longer do business with them. I strongly believe the new tax preparer does not care about getting clients taxes done in a timely manner.

We cannot say enough good things about Tax Group! They have knocked it out of the park when it comes to our personal and business taxes. And Angela completes our crew's payroll and boy does she know her stuff. It gives us the piece of mind knowing they have us covered! Highly recommend!

Jane Little has done our taxes for years, and every year, does a TREMENDOUS job. Not sure if she's taking new clients but if she is, you should attempt to get on her client list. I really don't know what we would have done without her - she helped with our business' and personal taxes. Joy to work with! Thanks Jane!!

As someone who has done her own taxes for all of her adult life, and also has worked as a bookkeeper most of that time, I have a solid foundation for preparing my own tax returns. Tax time has historically been such a laborious process, devoting at least one entire weekend to the arduous task. But getting my taxes done by Jane was such a load off my shoulders. I came from another state, had three states to contend with, along with a move. But I just had to gather my information, take it in, and everything was done in an hour. I don't know why I haven't done this before, but I will surely continue to let Jane and the professionals at the Tax Group handle this headache for me.
