Been a customer for 20+ years. Be forewarned! First time I contested a credit card charge (for concert tickets because of excessive charges and deceptive web practices), I got screwed by US bank. Protracted length of time for US bank review resulted in my missing the show and still having to pay for the tickets. Followed instructions, tried to fax in requested follow up info, fax wouldn't work. Called and talked to a rep explaining the info would be late as a result, I promptly mailed it in. Refund that been had given to me was reversed. Even after follow-up call/emails they never responded so I could contest their claim that they never received the required info from me.

Absolutely terrible customer service, my friend brought checks in worth up to $500. They ask for $7 per check exceeding the amount of $50 to non customers, he was fine with it. They kept asking him questions about the checks and where they came from, it was only $500 and he still paid their fee, they were defensive and rude the entire time during the process and wouldn’t even let him see the checks or give a receipt after processed. I hope this helps decide your trust with this banking service moving forward. Sasha

Us bank is a joke, do not open any type of account here, I am currently at this bank ever since I opened my account their fraud department has shut down my card 4 different times, cashed an insurance check withdrew some money from it and deposited the rest, they threw my account into a negative balance then sent me a letter 4 days later saying the check was placed on a fraud alert and have to wait 7 to 10 business days won't release it, call 24 hr banking they put blame on the branch I went too, the branch said its 24 hour banking fault, the check cleared 2 days after cashing it and proved it was cleared, thus place and the bank itself can bend over and take it without lube never again will I bank here with all the issues I have had and if I can do anyone else a favor it's to greatly warn DO NOT USE THIS BANK!!!

They say they don’t currency exchange despite saying they do. They outsource it. $15 fee. Normally I love this branch, but the fact that I called ahead of time and was given incorrect information then wasted 20 minutes in a branch and THEN was told it was a $15 fee. Review has gone down to 2 stars.

My uncle has been banking here for a while. He has always been treated real well here. My mom and me wanted to set up an account. We went here. The banker M-E took us to her desk. She was super friendly and real nice to us. She introduced herself right away which is a great sign. Its one of the things they teach ppl who have great customer service. A lot of workers never introduce themselves or say their name. I knew this was a great bank for this one reason i'll l explain. It required 25 dollars to set up an account. My mom thats most her current money she got real upset and threw the money at M-E. A lot of ppl would get hostile and get real rude for stuff like that. But M-E showed her true character she was still kind and still good to my mom. She didnt take it personal. That was one of the best signs knowing this is a great bank. When a manager at a bank no matter what happens trys to treat others good thats always the best sign. Very few ppl learn that 80% of anyones success is how they treat others.

I am a new customer of US Bank after visiting a Branch in Supersaver on 48th Street. I am a young gay professional with amazing boyfriend and we went into this downtown branch about two weeks ago and we were told be couldn't open an account and the Rep that helped us was named Raini she said it was because of a past account and then told us she would need manager approval. She was very rude and told use she would call later after she talked to her manager. I was called later that day and was told no. A week later we went to the Supersaver location and talked to my boyfriends usual teller/banker and he said he would give it a shot and behold the account opened just fine on his computer no pop ups or problems. The banker told us he didn't do anything different than she could have done. So we have to assume that Ms. Raini at the Downtown branch hates the gays and we were discriminated against for wanting to be a regular couple. I hope US Bank remembers Chick Fil A and makes this right! What happened to being treated fair?
