I began randomly getting charged $5 a month for having an account open here. I went in to speak to them about it and they told me I did not meet the account minimum, even though I had a student account with no account minimum. They told me it must be a mistake and to call about it. I called and they informed me I no longer qualified for a student account. I informed them I was still under the age limit, but I was then told my account was not flagged as a student account when they switch from Great Western to First Interstate and that there was nothing they could do because I did not respond to the mail thet sent. I informed them they had the wrong address and that I had asked them to change it 3 times, over the last 3 years but they still had not done it. I then put over the account minimum in and was still being charged $5 a month. I went in and was told I met all the requirements and shouldn't be getting charged anymore, I was then charged two more times. I ended up closing my account, while being under the age requirement, and with the minimum met, because they continued to charge me, with the excuse that they could not get ahold of me because of the wrong address, but they would not change my address to my current address. All in all not a pleasant experience and they stole $20 from me. The people who work there are great help and were always a great help but I would avoid the bank itself.

If I wanted this bank I would've chosen it. This merger has been a complete farce. They closed my business account with no notice or information to me. What a joke.

I highly recommend banking here. I’ve been with Great Western for well over a decade. In that time, Great Western has ensured to hire great people to work with. (At several branches that we’ve done businesses with in the past as well.) They generally remember us right when we come in. They’re pleasant and help us personalize things the way we need them. They genuinely and truly go above and beyond to answer any questions they can for us and have helped to try to insure the security of my accounts. I will always bank with them because of my experiences.

I have been banking here since I was little. The workers are fantastic people! They know you by name and they get to know you on a professional and personal level. The bank is always clean and therefore, very eye-appealing. If you're looking for a new bank to do business, I HIGHLY recommend Great Western Bank.

I've never banked there but I've heard it's decent. I known it has a sheltered indoor 24 hour atm
