So we have a friday evening reservation here. Phoned in food requests, with several choices of meat, veg, dessert. Pretty cool but quite different. And another day has passed for our wait. We actually drove by this place earlier today. Beautiful boarding house. Restaurant in a separate building which appears newer. And here we are after dinner on friday night. All foods were basic prep of days past. So...rather plain, not much seasoning. But real good handmade everything. We selected brisket and chicken. Both were good. Scalloped potatoes and baked beans, also real good. Beans probably our favorite. Dessert of a brownie and mud pie cake. The cake was new for us. A glass of white moscato was good. Small bottles of Sutter Home. Guessing, not much alcohol is consumed here. Owner Bob, stopped and told us wonderful story of this place which in distant times, his wife's family homesteaded the farm here. She operates the lodge and they live there also. Part of the original house makes up the hotel lodge. We did not tour the lodge/bed and breakfast house. Amazing story and pleasant staff, atmosphere and overall experience. Special events can be booked here. The restaurant building is a long-time-ago barn. No appearance of that now.

I was greeted by the friendly staff, that warm feeling was quickly dissolved with my interaction with Bob whom I believe to be the owner.

My husband and I were blown away by the hospitality and helpfulness of our hosts, Bob and Linda. Linda gave tips on places to go and she also knew good spots for birding. The inn is a charming, beautifully maintained historic farmhouse. Our bedroom was spotless with a big porch to sit on. I would recommend both the inn and the adjoining events center (we got a tour).

Gorgeous older farmhouse that has been beautifully restored and used as a bed and breakfast, you'll love staying with Bob and Linda! They also have an event building with a restaurant on site (reservations only), food is delicious and the space works great for work parties, family reunions, weddings/rehearsal dinners.

Our room was upstairs with access to a balcony where we enjoyed sitting until the mosquitos came out. The room was very nice and the breakfast was delicious. The innkeeper recommended a great place to eat. You should be aware that you have to drive on a gravel road to get there.

My husband and I wanted a place of peace and quiet to relax, refresh, and rejuvenate. We found just the place at Burchell’s Whitehill Farmhouse Inn. Bob and Linda were excellent hosts as they shared their beautiful home with us. Each morning, we started with coffee, reading, and praying on the private patio. Then it was inside for a delicious breakfast. The hosts offered great recommendations for eating and entertainment that we appreciated throughout the day before retiring back to the inn for an evening of relaxation. We enjoyed the night sounds of country living, the beautiful birds in the morning, the bull frogs giving us a glimpse of a whole other world that was thriving down by the pond, walking the grounds and just relaxing. What a perfect getaway! We loved every moment and would highly recommend this beautiful home to someone who wants peace and tranquility.

Although we got in much later than planned, Linda the inn keeper had a smile and a welcome for us. She showed us our room and let us know when to come down for breakfast. Also welcomed by Buster the farm dog.
