Thought we found a good vet closer to home, however, that was not the case. My wife called to see what all the charges would be to have our cat spayed, declawed and second set of shots (we're on a tight budget right now). Twice, she had them pull up the chart and give a detailed explanation of the charges. So, we budgeted everything to get this all done. When I went to pick her up, the bill was a lot more than what we were quoted. I told them we can pay the quoted amount and make payments to which they replied that they'll work something out and were happy to take the money. After the payment was made, they changed their tune and said they will need the rest of the bill paid or they can board her until paid off, which will incur a substantial amount of extra charges. With my back against the wall, I went ahead and paid the full, UNAPPROVED amount they were demanding, thus basically cancelling Thanksgiving for my family. Thank you Norfolk Veterinary Clinic for making the holidays miserable. Word to the wise, get a printed and signed quote prior to dropping your animals off. BTW, this bill as was explained to me is the standard amount charged for these procedures, no surprise charges added to the procedures.
