Ran by a great and sweet person and friend! She is not only a dog groomer, but adoption shelter, city pound, and boards dogs for people. She has a lot on her plate and does the best she can. She boards my dogs in the summer and does a great job and I have adopted from her. I would recommend her

The owner is an absolutely amazing person who is doing the best she can with the resources she has. Yes it doesn’t smell pleasant, yes it can be dirty, but Puppy Love is mostly all ran by one woman who is not only doing shelter duties but also runs the city pound here. Considering the circumstances I am very thankful that she is doing what she can to help local animals.

I left my dog in their care for 13 days and when I picked her up she was mangy and sticky ,matted fur and smelled like she was sleeping in her own feces , this is a horrible place to take an animal, not to mention upon pick up of my animal I had to beg them for a complimentary bath

I would give them no stars if I could. This place is horrible. Literally a puppy mill! Horrible smells, kennels are filthy and no one seems to care about anything there. They post pictures online of cats whom have nasty eyes and clearly need actual vet help. Will never be going back again. Buyers beware.. TAKE ALL THE ANIMALS AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

We adopted a beautiful Pitt Bull pup, she was so gentle and fit into our family beautifully. We have an Autistic son and she adores him.

The first time I went there I was instantly greeted by many horrible smells. The kennels were completely dirty, filled with fecal matter and urine. The animals don’t have an area to run. The employee who was “taking care of the animals” was smoking a cigar, while INSIDE…. Wish these animals had a better place to go. It’s a shame they get as good of ratings as they do because so many animals are mistreated and living in horrible, unhealthy conditions.

I'm editing my review from 10 months ago, not to change my rating, I still rate them at five stars! What I want to say, is in reading the reviews, make sure you read the most recent first. Although I don't agree with any of the bad reviews, even from years ago, most of the reviews recently are all good. I have adopted all of my pets from Brenda except for my pure breeds, and they have all been the most loving, special members of our family. I was blessed to have them. And they all lived to be ripe old ages without any medical conditions. As far as the cleanliness of her business? I challenge anyone to clean up after 20 or 30 pets 24 hours a day. Could you do it? Especially when she is alone or maybe with only one person working with her at a time. That's a big task for anyone. Like one person said, I think she deserves all the funding that the humane society receives considering she's doing the same thing. And I believe she's giving them more personal attention than they receive there. And she's been around as long as I can remember. She's done amazing things for me. I found a kitten once that was only 3 weeks old which was decided by our vet Dr Stevenson. This little girl was blind and not weaned when I found her. I talked to Brenda and she took this little kitten in and put her with a nursing mother so that the mother could nurse her and wean her as she should have been. Would the humane society have done that? Maybe for a price. Brenda charged me nothing! So before you go badmouthing her, or listening to all the reviews from years ago, check out the pets she has available. They are the most loving, friendly, healthy hopeful additions to your family you can find.Janna (Beeken) Klug

I was not very nice! I was told a certain time frame if someone did not claim a dog then I could adopt him, well that was not true. And those poor animals!! It stinks to high heaven, small cages,no fenced area for them to get out of there and exercise. Kittens with runny poo in their cages!! I'm sorry but the place is HORRIBLE and there needs to be a better place for those animals to go, or there needs to be some BIG changes to make it more hospitable to the animals. Not happy at all that I was told I could adopt the dog and I go all the way out there and then told I couldn't adopt the dog, when it was after the 72 hour time frame!! I will adopt somewhere else and please help those animals someone

Great people to work with. Very satisfied experience and found exactly what I was looking for in a German Shepherd.
