This place is small, clean, quiet, and comfortable. The best value in N. Platte. Hands Down. Do not pass this one up if you happen to find this gem and are in need of a good night’s rest.Noteworthy details: You don’t need a deal when the price is more than fair to start with. Honestly, if you need a discount to stay here, you’re being a real cheap skate. These guys run a small business and do it well. Pay retail. It’s still a steal of a deal.

I regularly stop at North Platte for the night when I'm traveling down I-80, so I couldn't help but notice the string of 5-star reviews that Husker Inn has been getting. I've now visited twice. Rather than rehash what the other reviews have been saying, I'll cover the questions I had when I visited. Is it easy to get to? Yes. 4th is the main east-west street through town. It's only an extra 2-3 minutes from the Interstate. With such low prices, what am I giving up? Mainly a bit of floor space. How small are the rooms? When I made my reservation, I asked for the King room and described what I'd need (a comfortable chair to read in, and a desk to work at). And that's exactly what I got. The room was small, but not cramped. There wasn't a closet, but there were plenty of hooks. How is the customer service? This is a family run hotel, so I think it's reasonable to expect that someone won't always be in the office. They like to stay in touch, so someone can be at the desk when you arrive. Is it really that clean? Yes. Spotless. In my opinion, this place is much cleaner than even the brand-new hotels going up near the interstate. How safe is it? The room door had a locking knob and a deadbolt. You can usually park within sight of the room. They have a very good security camera system. Bottom line is that I felt as safe as at any other hotel in town. Are the muffins really that good? They didn't appear homemade, but they were fresh and tasted great.

Very clean, roomy and very friendly staff. Can't say anything negative about this place. Stayed here twice and both experiences were awesome.

Super nice room. The grounds are well maintained. Lots of plans right out your door. Pond with running waters.

Would def bring my family again. Cozy place in town, family owned motel like the old days. Clean. Cute landscaping and fountain make it inviting. Across from convenience store if you forgot anything. Felt safe. Also very affordable. They tick every box.Note that heating/air is centrally controlled, but you can adjust vents/windows in your room. Bathroom could use a couple hooks on the wall. That’s about my only minor gripe. No sign of the fabled muffins, but then again I didn’t ask.

Our first stop was apparently full...seemed "off"..."sketch" as my kids like to say..lolHusband was called and he found us a room at Husker Inn. Older but very nice! Flowers, fountains and "homey" touches everywhere...very peaceful.Check in was easy and the person at the desk helpful, friendly and super nice! Our room was small but very clean and comfortable. Would stay here again in a heartbeat and highly recommend!

The cleanest motel I have ever stayed in. This should be called a boutique Motel. The grounds are immaculate and charming. The rooms feel like a bedroom in someone's home. The sheets smell wonderful! The coffee in the morning is a treat and they send you off with a generous continental breakfast if you get there by 9:30.Nearby activities: There is a wonderful park nearby with a historical steam engine train. Highly recommend walking a couple of blocks to get there through the charming neighborhood.

Very nice place to stay when traveling. Our room was laid out a bit unorthodox, but comfortable. Just the necessities, no frills. I recommend if you just need to stay the night and there are restaurants close.

Nice place, cozy rooms, all of the expected amenities, quiet street. Family owned and operated, not a giant corporation. Room rates were around half that of a chain hotel. Close to downtown North Platte and lots of dining options. Would happily stay again.

We booked a room 4 days ago.All was well.We got an email at 2:30 saying the room was cancelled. An issue with my wife’s maiden name on the card instead of her married name.At 3:00 they sold our room. Why couldn’t someone just call and let us give a new card? They said an email was sent at 8:30 in the morning. We only received an email at 2:30 pm.So our room is gone while we are en route to the motel. Not the end of the world. We called to ask if they would match our price we had reserved for 4 days. It was like a $12 difference —to book a room with 2 beds (original was one king). They had no interest in matching. The $12 deal for canceling us was too much to ask I guess. We could have paid $12 more and bit the bullet. But a guy has to stand for something right ?Didn’t like the customer service. Oh well. To super 8 we go

Booked this gem of a hotel based on all the yelp reviews and they were 100% true! Clean, comfortable room and the cutest out door areas made this a perfect stop on our way west. Convenient to downtown restaurants, great homemade muffins for breakfast, microwave and fridge in the room. Will definitely stay here again!

We arrived at 2:30 pm on Saturday & the office door was locked. When they opened the door, they said check-in is 3 pm - 11 pm. We said we just arrived in town & was wondering if the rooms were ready. They were.Reserved 4 rooms months in advance - gave them my credit card number. They charged the 4 rooms to my card on Thursday. Arrived on Saturday for check-in and they would not check us in without presenting the physical card - which I did not have on me - since the rooms were already charged on Thursday. I could show them a copy of the card's last 4 digits on my Apple Pay. I could show them the charge on my online credit card account but they had to have THE CARD.Now the 4 couples are standing in front of them so we asked if each room could be charged to their individual cards - NOPE. I had to give them another credit card so they could charge four rooms to it. They refunded the 4 rooms to the original card. The second charge has gone through - waiting on the refund. Not the way I wanted to start our one night stay for Nebraskaland Days with our friends.Nearby activities: Close to the Nebraskaland Days venue!
