So I roll into the Minnow Bucket with a list of tackle and bait I need for a three day weekend fishing trip. Blade baits, leaders, swivels, Sabiki rigs, live bait, etc… as I stand waiting at the counter the owner is in the back of the shop with his buddies arguing over who has the most deer permits, sounded illegal, and ground to hunt. Eventually he made his way to the counter. I asked him to give my two gallon cooler a rinse before I buy several dozen chubs and minnows. He says “no.” I ask him what are you thinking? I’m trying to spend my money here. He is quite arrogant, like it’s a privilege to give him my money. I had enough! I’ve experienced this from him before. I told him I would buy my bait elsewhere. He laughed in my face. I headed five minutes south to Freezes and bought everything on my list. And Freezes had chubs. Minnow Bucket did not have chubs. Only Crappie minnows. Half of which were dead in the tank. I guess Dunhams has him on the brink. Word is he is selling out. Save yourself. Go elsewhere.

I'm still having a hard time trying to understand what just happened in the Minnow Bucket? Upon entering the store the owner and his buddies were sitting in the back of the store trying to figure out who had the most deer permits and land access? I had a shopping list to include blade baits, sabiki rigs, leaders, hooks and minnows/chubs. When I asked the owner to rinse out my minnow bucket before adding water and fresh bait he refused. I informed him I would spend my money elsewhere and walked out. It's not the first time I was introduced to his ego. I headed 5 minutes south to Freeze's and all went well.

Had an unexpected scope problem with my son's gun, and TJ was awesome. He is very knowledgeable and got everything fixed back up for us.

This place is awesome.I returned several times and made purchases but mostly for the environment and conversation. Seems like a great place to hang out and shoot the bull.Great selection of tackle, ammo and firearms.Lots of european mounts to check out. The owner knows his s**t.He had reloading supplies for several calibers.The owner also makes european mounts for customers.I'll be back.

TJ at the Minnow Bucket is an outstanding business man as well as outdoorsman plus a great friend of mine with many different interests and hobbies regarding to the outdoors . He is very well knowledgeable in any questions you might have whether you're a beginner looking to get into fishing (or hunting) or pro, he most likely will have the answer and or a product(s) for you. He always tries his best to keep the shelves fully stocked every week and all year round even through COVID he had the best selction in town IMO, considering the circumstances at that time .... I highly recommend supporting this over 40 year old local business to anyone!!!
