Hours: 48th Street Square Shopping Center is a conveniently placed little plaza with a nice shopping area. It is an ideal lunch spot, within minutes of many work sites. The area offers stores plus fast food and a couple of restaurants, including a really good Mexican restaurant. There is a little bit of everything, including a general store, a gas station nearby, and a couple of other businesses. The Dollar Store there is very crowded with items but has many good deals and is considered by some to be the best one in Omaha. It is a great place for basic food supplies, socks, T-shirts, medications, paper goods, cleaning supplies, and even cute knick-knacks and clothes. The personnel are extremely nice, helpful, and friendly, with cashiers who greet you with a smile. The parking lot is clean and all the buildings and the area seem to be well groomed and managed professionally. The ambience is pretty good. There is never a problem with any business or lack of customer service, which makes returning very easy. Overall, it is a convenient plaza for paying a phone bill, running into the dollar store, getting gas, and grabbing lunch.
