“Free admission! But they do accept donations, (please donate)!A varied selection of art many types of media.Prices vary from very low for jewelery to several thousand for wall sized pieces. I used to go here all the time and loved it every time. Then life happened and I didn't get to visit for quite a few years. Now that I have more time I will make this a planned destination.”
“I gotta tell ya, if god has ever sent me a sign, it was to have the pleasure of meeting with Julie and Joe. My daughter is getting married in 7 days, at 4pm at Arbor Hall. Feel free to stop by for the dollar dance. I had an unusual item that I decided the night before that it would be so cool to frame it for the new couple.I did some searching and after reading so many reviews, I prayed the Lewis Art Gallery would be able to save the day for me. I sent them a lengthy comment thru their website and contacted them yesterday. Met with Julie and she was wonderful and amazing all tangled up. She showed us several samples and styles. She was not concerned at all that we probably got there about 30 minutes before they were to close after what sounded like a very busy week. Her advice was priceless! We had no clue or know how to ever do it, but she started putting fabric back gound and frames together and in less than two minutes she had a design whipped up that we agreed to. Our deadline was not a problem to her at all, she didn't even flinch.Thank you once again for making a man giving away his baby a bit more special.”
“Just wanna say WOW! This place is awesome with friendly staff, friendly piercers, and amazing art comes out of this building. I took my daughter in for her first piercing here and her first tattoo. They made the process so smooth and easy!! I 100% recommend the people of Big Brain!!! ?”
“It's a unique, interesting, and beautiful place in the middle of downtown Omaha. You will be walking around enjoying the old market and its unique vibe, some art, craft, and Halloween stores, and then will suddenly stumble upon this gem. It's such a cool vibe! They have some good restaurants and shops in there as well. The shops in there .ight get a little pricey, but it is worth exploring them.”
“Alan and team are complete professionals. Over the last four years, they have framed perhaps 50 pieces of art for us, and in each and every instance, they have been full creative partners in helping us identify the perfect frame - even if it meant pulling nearly every frame and matte sample off their wall to get there.
The workmanship on the final deliverable has always been exceptional, and delivery is always under the promised timing. I can always expect reasonable pricing, but naturally I’m always drawn to the highest quality (read: most expensive) materials commensurate with the artwork, but we receive so many compliments from visitors to our home that affirm our choices.
In more than one instance, we needed a custom-designed shadow-box style solution that required research, problem-solving and a longer-than-usual lead time - but that resulted in a “well, that’s a first” smile from Alan.
I cannot recommend a better, more creative and personally invested framer than Alan.”
“As a UNO student, this is an amazing gallery I have had to attend for events pertaining to my major. Very clean and spacious, with live events and food provided. While I understand it is something that they cannot control, I believe parking is the only issue I can find. Very limited parking leads to difficulty entering the gallery, especially on opening nights. Otherwise, it is a great gallery that I would recommend visiting if you want to see local artists at work.”
“I went here a few months ago to meet May Pang and see her photos of John Lennon, who shared a 'long weekend' with John in 1973-1975. The gallery was nice and clean and their was a lot of natural light from the front windows, which made the place look even better. This exhibit was awesome and I hope this gallery does more like it.”
“Definitely an awesome place in omaha to check out some cool art!! Lots of interesting pieces and some sculptures that are very stimulating. The owner is a superb human after I chatted with him for a bit and he contributes some beautiful and interesting pieces to the gallery. If you're in the area, stop and check them out and talk with the owner to support local artists”
“This is a wonderful hidden gem. You would never guess it was hidden behind a block of Old Market small businesses on the North side of Howard St. I happen to personally know, Marc and Vera Mercer and had the pleasure of working for Nicolas Bonham-Carter.(Mercer Management) for years. Great family, great people and such a major part of Omaha history.”
“This place is very cool! It is a wonderful art gallery inside of a airport. It's outside of security and allows people who are not flying to visit this gallery. I highly recommend visiting this gallery and potentially buying some art. It definitely is different seeing an art gallery in a airport but I truly loved seeing this gallery!”
“Best art studios and galleries in the Omaha metro area with an authentic and supportive artistic community. Headquarters of BFF. Unique cultural richness in the heart of Benson.”
“I live in CA but I've ordering from curbside for years and they're by far my favorite company. They always have incredible styles, everything fits true and is so comfortable. My last experience really sets them apart for me. I bought a mess up for my brother but they didn't fit him. Curbside had no problems exchanging it a size down and it took less than 7 days for me to return the shirts, them to process and sent it back to me. Super fast and smooth return process, all 4 shirts we got were great. Thanks for being an amazing and standout company”
“We absolutely love spending the day at the Hot Shops!! If you love art and find the people who have creative minds relaxing, you will return time and time again!! The best gifts anywhere around the Midwest!!!”
