⭐☆☆☆☆ WARNING: Aggressive Staff, Hidden Reserves, and Zero Accountability — BEWARE
We recently had one of the most frustrating and disturbing experiences I’ve ever had with any business, let alone an auction house. Auction Solutions Inc. in Omaha left my wife and young child shaken and me completely stunned at the lack of professionalism, honesty, and basic human decency.
We bid in good faith on a set of sockets and several other lots during one of their online auctions. No reserve was visible. Nothing indicated we weren’t actually winning the items. After winning that first lot, we continued bidding—excited, having fun, and truly enjoying the process as a family. But when my wife and young son went to pick everything up, they were told the main item—the one that started it all—wasn’t actually sold because of a hidden, behind-the-scenes reserve. It had “not met reserve,” something that was never communicated in the interface.
When my wife asked about it, a younger employee named Caleb was brought out—and that’s when things went from bad to completely inappropriate. Caleb got aggressive. His tone, body language, and words were hostile and confrontational. He spoke down to my wife, postured like he was ready for a fight, and made my wife and child feel so uncomfortable they walked away. My wife was literally scared that the situation could escalate in front of our child. That is completely unacceptable.
Over the phone, I tried to calmly resolve the issue. Caleb kept doubling down and actually said,
“If your items sold for 10% of your reserve, what would YOU do?”
I responded,
“I’d honor the sale or make it right with the client.”
That clearly touched a nerve, because his response was unbelievably smug:
“Well, you can get your own auction license for $49.99 and run your own auctions.”
I expected more from the owner. When I spoke to Shane, I was shocked to hear her defend Caleb’s behavior. She even admitted their technology has had problems in the past but still demanded I show proof (which I have—a full screen recording). I told her I’d gladly provide it if she agreed that Caleb would apologize in person to my wife and son for how they were treated. Her response?
“I can’t promise that.”
Let that sink in: even with proof in hand, she would not commit to making her employee do the decent thing.
That kind of leadership tells me everything I need to know.
I write this review not just out of frustration, but because I genuinely hope it reaches someone in that company who still believes in doing the right thing. If you’re reading this from Auction Solutions: you have a real opportunity to reflect on this situation and choose to do better. Treating families with disrespect and refusing to take accountability when your own system fails is a fast way to lose trust.
That said, I believe people—and companies—can change. I will be giving them one more chance. We’re participating in one more auction, and based on how they handle it, I will update this review.
Here’s hoping Auction Solutions decides to choose integrity over ego this time.
Update: nice spin on it shane and you know i OFFERED the screen recording as long and it would show what we saw and that after it was seen by you that you then would get YOUR employee to appoligize in person and you chose to not agree to that and so your right we are where we are at
hopefully you improve your standards as a owner but we will see

I've had auctions where every single electronic device I "won" didn't work. Just passing off trash. Assume nothing works when bidding.

I agree with the most recent reviews of this auction house.... I 'won' some items a couple months back and when they finally arrived, one was missing and another two where mis-represented and it was like pulling teeth to get my money back!!!

Worst Auction House I have dealt with! Shayne is unprofessional, dishonest, and will fight you tooth and nail to avoid responsibility for misrepresenting the items she sells,, specifically Karat Gold items. She blames the consignor, and hides behind her disclaimer, rather than just doing what is right. I recommend you avoid this business.

I arranged a day and time for Shane to come out and take a look at items for an auction and to learn more about their process. She was a no show or call. Disappointing.

Worst auction house west of the Mississippi. Increbibly inept, misrepresented items, wrong items sent, shorted on refund, blamed the consignor for mistakes in listings! BEWARE!

I have experience with a lot of Auction Companies, and this is by far the worst to deal with. They have terrible descriptions. A few examples I have as a buyer: Purchased an item. Then received a call the next day that the item had a reserve. Nothing in the description or sale value that mentions a reserve. It was their fault, and they give me the option of either getting a refund for the value I paid or pay them additional money. They sold the item without any mention of a reserve. It doesn't seem fair to add reserve after an item sells. Purchased an electrical item from them. When I picked it up there was not any wires for the system. No power cord. No special ended speaker cords. They told me that they didn't say the items came with cords. An honest description would have mentioned the lack of any wires with the sale. No offer to refund. Item has no value without wires. As a buyer, be aware of what you might or might not be getting. UPDATE 2.6.24- At no point was this a complaint about the Scooter I received. It was a nice scooter even for the additional money. My frustration is that they did not indicate a reserve on the auction listing. If a seller has a reserve, it should be identified with the item.

Shayne and her team helped our family during a difficult time when our sister and husband had to liquidate their home, vehicles, personal items and move into a nursing home. The home was a HUGE challenge and I personally would not have been able to do it without them! THANK YOU!

My husband contracted with this firm to auction his tools. They set up in our garage with their tables to photograph and catalogue everything. Then left everything set up for the next 3-4 weeks while they allegedly "advertised" the auction. We never saw this "advertising" but had to pay for it...twice. The cost charged to us for set up in our garage, photographing and finallyto prepare things to ship out was just short of extortion. It makes me wonder how they claim any expenses on their taxes since apparently their customers pay all of those. We discovered after the auction was posted that Auction Solutions had included someone else's van in our auction. I'm wondering if they were also charged the "advertising" fee?All told, my husband saw just barely half of the sale proceeds after Auction Solutions took their cut. Last time we will use them...ever.

No communication, takes for ever and dramatically overcharging on shipping then taking for ever to ship the item. Do not buy from this company. Auction closed weeks ago and still don’t have it.

Very unfair to people selling. Would not let them have a reserve, double listed items, unorganized, and rude. Their staff “helping” people were not even acknowledging the buyers, couldn’t find my items, and wouldn’t even talk to me. Not impressed. They didn’t even have correct descriptions of the items listed. What they call walnut was stained burled oak. What they referred to as antique Queen Anne was a 1980s hotel writing table and not an authentic antique.Don’t try to sell your items through them. If you buy from them, purchase with caution due to their lack of historical knowledge.

Have found some great deals here and look forward to working with the agency in the future. Updates to follow as I continue to do business with them.

Very unprofessional. There is a reason they have a better business rating of "F". Many better auctioneers in Omaha.
