Gabe me an electric car with less than half a charge. Spent hours getting to a charger and charging it. The car was destroyed on the exterior with hail damage. Almost new Genesis G80 and they rent it destroyed. Not a good experience.

Avis Car Rental did it again, the car I rented was smooth and enjoyable so much fun, and so was my vacation.

Exceptional customer service, car selection and condition, the option available in-app to change the car if the customer doesn't like it.

I reserved a small car days before arriving to the rental place at the airport. I get there and all small vehicles were gone due to people coming off of flights and they were able to rent the cars before me. I ended up with a mini van but the whole thing is that I reserved a small car

I called and asked all about the premium SUV because I needed something big and 4 wheel drive. I was supposed to get a Chevy Suburban or similar. I was hauling stuff in the back and driving 1200 miles through snow and ice. When I got there they gave me a Ford suv with a V6 that was filthy with dog hair all over the inside. The Suburban is a v8 full sized suv. They ended up giving me a regular suv, so a down grade from the premium with no discount. They gave me a Chevy Tahoe that had half the cargo area and I found out once I was in snow and ice it was two wheel drive and that put us in danger. They did the bait and switch once you pay and flew in somewhere and you have no other option but to take something that you did not rent. I do not recommend renting from them.

I am a corporate customer and have rented from Avis 20-30 times in the past year, but I will be changing car rental companies after this experience. Avis failed me in every way possible and left me stranded in a rural area without transportation. The rental vehicle became stuck in the snow during a winter storm. It was not wrecked or damaged in any way, but simply stuck. Due to extremely low temperatures (-37 wind chill), I was not able to stay with the vehicle. Initially, roadside assistance was willing to have someone pull the vehicle from the snow and return it to me, as I still needed the vehicle and had some personal items still inside the car. Unfortunately, this did not happen and I was told it would be the next day before anyone could get to the job. I made it clear that I needed a form of transportation to the airport the next day. I was assured this would be provided. The next morning, however, roadside assistance sent someone to recover the vehicle but abandoned me without a vehicle or transportation in a remote area over an hour away from the airport and/or closest Avis location. Uber and/or Lyft were the only options provided to me, but neither service was available due to the weather. Customer service was dismissive of my circumstances and refused to return the vehicle to me or provide me with another vehicle. 'Krystal' was especially rude and had zero empathy or customer service skills. She told me to 'call law enforcement for a ride' or to 'find a ride' on my own. Since I am a corporate traveler, I had no one to call locally, and the suggestion to call law enforcement for a ride is simply ridiculous. 'Krystal' refused to escalate my call and made an already stressful situation even worse. I missed my flight and had to rebook it for the next day. With the help of the HOTEL management, I was able to find a ride to the airport, which I was forced to pay for out of pocket.Once I was home in Atlanta, I again received abhorrent treatment from customer service about getting a receipt. I was told to RETURN TO OMAHA to close the rental and obtain a receipt at the counter. They also told me I would be charged for extra days since I didn't return the vehicle on time?! I was then told I would not be reimbursed for the ride I paid for since it was a personal transaction via CashApp (the only form of payment the person would take other than cash), and the CashApp receipt was not a "real" receipt. Several days later, after way too much stress and dealing with more incompetence from customer service, Avis finally closed the rental and provided a receipt. My personal items inside the vehicle were not returned and I was not compensated for them.It was an absolutely horrible experience and I will make it well known to my colleagues, family, and friends to stay far, far away from this company. Roadside assistance is merely an asset recovery department, and they will abandon you without a thought. Avis also doesn't believe in customer service, and they will treat you like a nuisance instead of a person. Avis is terrible in every way.

I was super crabby this morning before I dropped my rental off, but when I got to Avis, that all changed! I’ve never met a more lively, friendly Avis team. And this was all on a Monday morning! They were so kind, especially Steve, who offered to drop me off at my gate because of how much equipment/luggage I was trying to carry. He even helped me bring my luggage inside the terminal so I could check it. Truly unbelievable customer service; I was blown away by his generosity. He, unknowingly, turned my entire day around. I hope they know how great of an asset he is! They = corporate. He deserves all the recognition!

Easiest pick up and drop off that I have experienced! The staff was friendly and the price was better than every other rental company we had looked at. Got back at about 3:30 and the staff was quick to check it in and I got my final receipt promptly! Will definitely rent from Avis at Eppley again!

To start with, I was given the wrong type of vehicle. When I got to the garage and realized that, I had to go back in line and wait to straighten it out. Then I returned the vehicle 2 DAYS early. I called before I returned it to make sure I'd get a refund of the rental for those days and was told I would. When I received my final receipt, my $40 or $50 per day refund for 2 days was only $14. When I called Avis, they told me the early return made the rate change to a higher amount so essentially I got no refund. They kept their money and then rented the car again resulting in a large profit for them and a loss for me. I also asked to speak to a supervisor and was told they'd call me back in 24-48 hours. What a joke! Good bye, Avis.

The AVIS app worked seamlessly at this location as I landed at Omaha on a Sunday evening. I was able to choose from three vehicles (two cars and a truck), and all three options were those I've listed as preferences before. Also - when returning the car, the AVIS representative was friendly and enthusiastic, a welcome end to my work week. My only complaint is about the layout of the airport. The rental cars were located at the extreme opposite location from the Delta gates. The gates serving United are more convenient to the rental car location.

Had a mechanical issue and was unable to swap vehicle out car was shaking really bad. Car received was dirty and service light was on for tires. Received an email from customer care applies they would issue me a credit of $11.94. Wow. So glad my safety is only worth $11.94.
