I had $10 in 50 cent coins I was looking to get turned into cash. I drove up and used the call button to call a teller. I asked him if I could exchange it for a $10 bill and he asked me if I had an account. I told him I did not and he told me that they would not be able to do that then. Having just moved up to Omaha already need a bank account somewhere close by my house. I asked him if I could just come inside and open an account and then do it and he told me no again.
I asked him why, and he very uncertainly said “Because you need to have your account open for a certain amount of time” Confused, I said “ I need to have my account open for a certain amount of time before I could exchange coins for cash?” He said yes, and I just drove away. It seemed more like an issue of laziness and not wanting to do it. After reading the reviews, it looks like I dodged a bullet stay away from this bank.

If I wasn't a long standing customer of BOTW, this branch would make me leave. The last time I went, it took 25 minutes for the teller to cash a check, and deposit some cash into my account. It got to the point where I had to actually call in and see what the problem was, the teller was confused (by cashing a check? or depositing cash? seems like fairly normal teller tasks to me). The visit prior to that, I needed something notarized and when the teller requested assistance, the guy just sat on the another emplyee's desk laughing and said "soon" or something to that extent. He did come over and notarize the document I needed, but didn't even talk to me while doing so. The visit prior to that, I went to deposit money into an estate account to comply with their deposit requirements, and teller deposited into the wrong account (again, after calling and asking if there was an issue because it was taking SO LONG).Complete lack of service at this branch. I understand being short staffed, but when there isn't even another person in line, there really is no excuse on why things are taking 20+ minutes for a simple task. Thankfully, this isn't my regular branch, but it's right next to my work so it's convenient for me. Now that their hours keep changing though, not sure it's worth them even being open.

This Bank is NOW horrible!!! How do you expect people to handle their business if Customer Service NEVER answers the phone and the locations close at 4PM??? Most People banking with you hold jobs and you close before most are off work! This is ridiculous! Currently looking for someone else to bank after 20 years.

If you ever tried calling the customer service number, be prepared to be on hold for an hour. Most of the bank tellers seems extremely unhappy. Very unfriendly bank with astronomical bank fees. They will not make any exceptions and hide behind "Company Policy" This bank has been one of the wost to do business with. I withdrew all my money and will continue my banking needs elsewhere. Do your research before opening an account with Bank of The West

I took my money out of my checking account because they feel that they have the right to charge me outlandish fees.Had a substantial amount of money in my account, you'll never get my business again.

Between my accounts being tampered with, closed without being notified and the incredibly rude staff at the 60th and NW Radial. I decided to remove my money from them and take my business elsewhere. I would suggest doing the same
