My mother purchased an Xbox game package with a bestbuy membership and a game pass and pretty much everything during the blackfriday sale of 2023. The package included 2 gift cards. One of the gift cards was a digital gift card sent through the email. The other was a physical gift card sent through the mail. We recieved and were able to use the emailed gift card with zero issues. The second card that was sent through the mail was invalid. I then proceeded to make a total of 12 calls trying to reach someone who could help. The only people i could reach were at a call center in some other country and they were all very sorry for my experience but could do nothing to help me. Eventually I was able to get a person who could not help me with the issue but was able to tell me where and when the card was used. She said she would send the info in an email that never came. I additionally tried to use the chat options on both the website and the app only to find the same obstacles of undertrained underempowered employees who could do nothing other than offer me sympathies. I proceded to call the corporate headquarters here in the United States. I was then transferred over to a call center in another country where I was offered no assistance. I used words like Fraud, Theft, Crime, Employee crime and so on. I told them I needed to report a crime that I believed involved an employee. I asked to speak to someone in fraud protection or asset protection or loss prevention and was told they did not have anyone for that. I called 6 different local stores in different areas and was sent to a call center everytime. What I have been able to find out is that the card was used in a bestbuy store in Omaha. The card was already in my possession which means it would have needed to be handkeyed by an employee in the store. The info I was given said it was used in the store in conjuction with a mastercard to buy a pair of headphones. I do not live anywhere near that store nor does anyone I know. It is over 720 miles away from me. The closest store to me is 30 minutes away and it would seem Im expected to make that drive to a store so I can get a person to speak to me in person that might be able to do something. We filed a claim with the credit card compamy as well a a police report in Omaha regarding the theft. I suggest anyone who recieved a gift card check the value and ensure you have not be a vivtim of a crime as well. If you have or find out you have please reach out to your local law enforcement and mention this so they can track if its a larger thing where Bestbuy customers have had funds Stolen from them.

Was in store looking at RAM for over a half hour. Wandered around store a few times looking for a free associate to unlock the case, with no luck.

65min in the store. 55min of waiting for someone to help me. 5 min to check out. There were two other customers in the store total... At least 4 unrelated employees standing around. 1 guy stocking the same keyboard before I arrived and was at it after I left. Crazy...

Most dystopian shopping experience I've ever had. Can't pick up the item I need to take to the counter, can't get an associate to help me. One associate to several sections. Should have just ordered online.

I love Best Buy but they ignore black people unless you say something to them first…I only use their credit card everywhere, I think the online app is terrible because you can’t see none of your purchases right off
