We stayed in the king suite with jacuzzi. The room was huge and clean, the bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The jacuzzi filled slow, but was really relaxing. The pool was closed for maintenance.

Words cannot describe what I endured during one night of stay here. I had no hot water at all. When I brought it up to the front desk they just stared at me, and said they have never had that issue before. I broke down. I went back upstairs and let it run for 5-10 minutes and still nothing. I ended up knocking on the room(strangers of course) across the hall, and luckily they were kind enough to let me shower. I have never been so embarrassed. Not only this, but our water was not working properly at all, I had stained/not washed sheets, and they didn't allow me to check in when I arrived because the room was "still being cleaned." When I checked out, I informed them what I had to do just to shower, and they refused a genuine apology or compensation for what I endured. I am not one to complain, ever, but words just can't describe this enough. I am heartbroken that the one night I expected to be a small "getaway" was this horrific.

Room was absolutely gross!! The shower curtain had mold all over it! The toilet leaked and was hard to flush the jetted tub had horrible water pressure and took 45 minutes to fill it and the door didn’t lock they only had two towels in the room and when you go down to the desk the man tells you he doesn’t have any more towels then came back and gave me a dirty towel with black stuff all over it. Honestly I have stayed at many hotels and this one by far was the worstSafety: The locks on the doors don’t work we couldn’t lock the door so that was scary going to sleep not feeling secure

Hotel room was clean and nice and location was convenient. Service, however, was abysmal. Front desk employee followed us to our car after we chose to cancel our second night’s reservation—incredibly unprofessional and creepy behavior. I would avoid this place especially if traveling

My wife and I spent our anniversary here earlier this year and this review was sitting in my drafts so I wanted to share our experience. The Yelp page currently shows the business as closed, but it does appear to be open. The review is below. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at the Old Mill Inn, specifically because it was one of a very few hotels with a hot tub that were not ridiculously expensive or ridiculously nasty looking. When I initially visited the hotel, I was impressed - it was affordably priced, the front waiting area was clean, the hallways were clean and there was no odor that I could smell. After check-in time, I went in early to set up the room for a romantic evening, and the room was in great condition. There was no smell in the room, the toiletries and such were all stocked, the tub and the hot tub were both clean and there were sufficient towels. When my wife and I returned, we had a great evening. We were able to celebrate our anniversary without hearing other rooms, which is always an annoyance in certain hotels. We could here the room above us when the hot tub was running, but we were running ours as well and I new all the hot tub rooms were together, so no bid deal there. The bed was clean - no stains or signs of any bugs, etc. The bedding was clean and comfortable. We had a great night. We did NOT utilize the TV, pool (more on this in a moment), workout room, etc. I did notice when walking the hotel that the pool was closed due by the health department. This would have been a dealbreaker with the kids, but we were not there to swim so all was well. However, everything else looked clean and maintained throughout the hotel. The next morning, we woke up to eat breakfast and it was a well-stocked buffet area with a variety of hot dishes (eggs, hash browns, sausage, waffles, biscuits and gravy). There were also the traditional cold offerings (milk, juices, yogurt, hard boiled eggs), and also cereal. However, the quality was not very good, which was the other reason I removed one star from the rating. I was most excited about eggs and hash browns. However the eggs were just a warmed up patty (not sure if they were broken up as shown in the photo to appear scrambled) which was dry and crumbled easily. The waffle batter was out (which was why I only got half), and the hash browns were disgusting - not crispy like they should be. When I was leaving, I saw the prep area and everything was being microwaved. The breakfast was disappointing, but I still got full from some of the items.SO.... if you are going to relax and spend time together or have a date with your spouse in a clean affordable hotel, this is it. If you have children looking forward to a swim or look forward to a hot and tasty breakfast, my experience would indicate that you may be disappointed.

I was traveling with my pet and knew I would be in a pet friendly room but the smell of animal urine was overwhelming. It was very late when I checked in and I had struggled to understand the person who checked me in, so I was in no mood to try to change rooms. I opened the window and turned the heat down to flush the smell out. My allergies kicked up and I was happy to leave in the morning.

I had to travel to Columbus ne from northeast kansas. About a 3 hour drive my girlfriend has relatives in Columbus so we were there until late. I booked the room because I didn't want to drive all the way late at night. Had no problem getting checked in but what happened the next day has bothered me. I woke up early the next day around 6:00 am had to take a dog out so she could go to the bathroom. After getting to the 1st floor the elevator door opened as I walk to exit the dog I was carrying started to kick I dropped my car keys and they fell between the elevator and the wall fell between the space between the elevator and wall they dropped all the way to the bottom. Now I do realize I did drop my keys but the way the manager handled the situation I think is wrong. I told the front desk the man behind the counter said I had to wait for the manager. Well when the manager got there he took one of the employees retrieved my keys. After securing my keys he proceeded to tell me that an elevator technician happened to be in the area and would get my keys off the books for money. I agreed because I didn't have a spare key. When the manager came to the room he told my girlfriend it would cost $100 to get my keys but I refused and said all I had was $60. After receiving my money he did give me the keys so we were able to leave. I wanted to contact someone from the hotel but can't find any information to contact anyone that's why I put this review here.

My husband paid for two nights and it was 165.44 for a Sunday and Monday today we pay for two more nights and the price is 205.62. That’s a hell of a difference their explanation was “prices change every day.” But on Sunday when I asked what are the room costs he quoted me the 82.00 price that was with tax. So they changed pricing from what they quoted me in the beginning over 20.00 a night. I would use caution that’s very dishonest what else are the being dishonest about? Mind you online their rates on Google advertise 60.00 a night so that’s a far estimation of what they are actually charging you once you’re there. In response we did call ahead and what we were charged for the 2nd two nights is not what was quoted over the phone

Common areas need attention, halls are dirty and you can tell they haven't been vacuumed in a while. The elevator was pretty dirty. The lobby at least looks decent. The room is clean enough, but the carpet is ancient. The room would look so much better with fresh carpet, or even vinyl. A big issue was the door to our room, the deadbolt didn't work. At least it had a sliding security latch, but we would have preferred to be a bit more secure. We stayed two nights in a room with a jacuzzi tub. Tub took over an hour to fill enough to use, but at least the water was nice and hot. Tub was clean, which was kind of surprising, tbh. Bed was comfortable enough, and we slept decent our first night. 2nd night was extremely rough, because the people in the room next to us were ridiculously loud at least until 3am. I tried calling the desk, but I think it's a one man show in the middle of the night. He didn't answer. Probably tied up with other tasks. I went down and told him about the noise. When I got back up to the room, I could hear the phone ringing in the room next to us. So i know the front desk tried to contact them at least once. Unfortunately it didn't work and the noise continued. Point is, if you need a good night's rest, you might struggle. No fault of the management, really. Just luck of the draw, I guess.

My family and I checked in Friday Night Oct 6 around 1800. Immediately we were hit with a dirty hotel lobby, a dirty room(food on the floor, no toilet paper, no towels) and tried to make the best of our situation. I tried to communicate with the front desk and they made no effort to work with us to fix the toilet paper issue. We then tried to swim in the pool, which said it was open, it was cold with insects dead and floating at the top of the pool.At breakfast, still trying to make the best of the situation, a sign said "dairy free products upon request". My son, being highly allergic to dairy, my wife asked for some of the alternatives. The attendant then informed of there is infant no dairy free products so my son could not eat what was served. We decided to check out two nights early because the management was too busy to talk with us.

I booked two rooms to celebrate my daughter's 16th birthday. The pool was freezing, not hot tub as described on website. Rooms were dirty, lots of stains. I refused to shower because the tub was dirty and the shower head looked disgusting. It definitely made the occasion less memorable, especially for the cost. Plus, I could not sleep because the curtains don't close to make it dark. I had a nearby business light shining in all night.Safety: Doors in main lobby wide open, even when we went down late. Not usually someone at desk.

Run down and filthy! Room was recently sprayed with some sort of air freshener, most likely to mask the "weed" smell or maybe that is the only cleaning the rooms get. No going barefoot unless you want the bottom of your feet brown. The grounds, abandoned! Weeds all around the structure 3 feet tall but a great hiding place for rodents. Will not be staying again.
