Sold CarMax my vehicle and put some of the money down on my new vehicle. I was told by 4 separate people on 4 different times that the taxes and fees/plates are included in my loan. I was promised. The finance department guy came and had us sign our papers at the saleswoman’s desk and pointed out on the paperwork THIS xxx amount will be written as a check and sent to your county’s treasurer to cover your taxes and plates. Then two weeks later we get a letter saying “bring a check for xxx amount to the dmv when registering your vehicle”. I called and the manager said “well, didn’t you read your paperwork?” Ummm I trusted you! I trusted 4 of you! You said in front of my husband and in a text that my taxes were included in the loan! You really effed me!

I had a great experience with CarMax in Omaha! Ryan O'Neill was great to work with! After some delays with the paperwork for the car (totally out of the control of CarMax), they were super kind and refunded one of the fees that I had paid as a thank you for being patient with the car getting ready. Totally unexpected, but greatly appreciated! Thank you so much CarMax!

All in all, a good experience! I’ve bought many automobiles over the last 40 plus years, but this was something new for me. If you had told me I was going to order a car from 400 miles away, I would have probably said “no way”. The long and short of it was that I felt very at ease with the money back guarantee and the option to purchase an extended warranty, which I did. The experience was good enough for my daughter to order her next car from CarMax as well! It’s currently being shipped up from Texas. Yes, I would recommend, and yes I’ll do business with them again in the future!

We bought a car, the check engine light came on, Bad O2 sensor, took it to another mechanic who found multiple oil leaks. Carmax finally finds out the turbo is dead, covered under warranty. Why was the car even on the lot? Where's Carmax's integrity & honesty? I had to take it to another mechanic to get it out of you. Do the right thing. Your customer service is awful after youve purchased a vehicle. This was such a refreshingly positive car selling experience -- the offer I received was very fair, the employees with whom I interacted were very courteous and respectful (actually they were also endearing), and the process was completed much more quickly than I would have ever anticipated. If I ever sell a car again, I will definitely go to CarMax!

I love this place!! 1st i walked in on a Sunday and was greeted by Ryan (Omaha, NE) and he was super cool. I looked around and instantly found what I wanted. I got his card and left. I called him the next day and we kept in touch for the next few days. I returned and he was a great help with figuring out how to work the car lol to financing to getting all the paperwork done!!!!!2nd the process was super fast I was in and out with my new car in 2 hrs (and it was packed) compared to previously buying cars and it literally taking 8-10 hrs.3rd Ryan checked in on me and the car a few days later which I appreciated! I will probably never go anywhere else to buy a car other than Carmax!!!4th the fact that Carmax will reserve the car for you so you can come on a later date is also super convenient!UPDATE: RYAN HAS DONE IT AGAIN!!!!! I just want to say everything I said before is 1000% still true! I’m super satisfied and if y’all need the best of the best please call and make an appt with Ryan. Let him know I sent y’all??

I highly recommend CarMax to anyone who will listen. I've had very poor experiences at local dealerships in the past but was nervous to try something new. I searched and found exactly what I was looking for on the CarMax app, CarMax gave me an offer on my old vehicle, and when I went in for my appointment I was finished with everything in under 2 hours. Ryan and Tristan were exceptional and made the whole process a breeze. You have made me a future customer already!

I don't get to west O very often, so I tried to schedule a test drive while I was in the neighborhood, but they asked all kinds of questions about why I was interested before telling me the soonest they could fit me in is tomorrow afternoon. Minutes later got a call from a third party trying to set up a loan I don't need to buy the car I didn't get to see. I wonder how many other call lists they put me on?

I was very impressed with the whole process, really. I got an online estimate, scheduled an appraisal appointment at my local Carmax to confirm the valuation. The offer matched the online offer I'd received and the process of selling my car was painless and quick. I would highly recommend to anyone that is contemplating trading a vehicle in at a dealership to also check Carmax.

I honestly don't know why people give this place a bad review. I've shopped here 3x and have never had anything bad to say. so let me say this y'all need to call and make an appt with Ryan! this man has great customer service, conversations, explains things in details, and gets you in and out! He honestly navigated me thru the whole process and I left satis fixed every time. the longest I've been in there is 2hrs which is nothing compared to 7-8 hrs spent at other dealerships. So if y'all have a problem with the one in Omaha I have no clue why but ummmm try it again and please call Ryan!
