We were in the process of moving to a new house, and scheduled them to set up internet at our house. Told me they’d be here between 8:00-12, but the tech got there at 3pm. Then, when he got there, he told me he wouldn’t suggest this internet for me because it wouldn’t meet my needs. I definitely wasn’t mad at his honesty, but I’m so pissed that I wasted an entire day waiting around when they could have called me/emailed me with this info. Absolutely ridiculous.

I wake alerted by my dogs barking like crazy at the back door. There were two men with what looked like rope (I thought they were trimming the tree in my yard and possibly hired by the neighbor) I asked who they were and they had a very heavy Russian? accent, replied we working. I asked who hired them, replied with Century Link. I asked how didthey get into my yard. Replied fiberoptic. I asked again how they got into the yard. Did they jump my fence. They replied they went through my gate. I have been trying for 33 minutes to speak with a customer service representative and I get hung up on. This is the most unprofessional company I've ever seen.

Picked up century link due to Cox Communications price gauging. Ended up saving over $75 a month. I've only had Century Link a few days now. but it has been flawless.

Centurylink is a white paper on how not to run a person. I can never reach a live person, unless I chat and they don't seem to have answers. CenturyLink is our ONLY choice for internet and the most they will provide is 30Mb, because they don't want to invest in their plant. We are currently experiencing an outage that is scheduled to last 5 days.

The price is guaranteed for life, which is thankfully as long as you have the service, not the length of time it takes your modem to drop off because that'd be day after install. I started getting their fiber service in August and it took about a month to even get a tech to finally install it after multiple excuses as to why they couldn't. They left my gate open and my dog got out so the attention to detail is lacking. My service constantly drops out and let me tell you. As a fiber engineer, building a network this poor is impressive. I make this review after my internet has dropped again, after two techs, and three weeks of constant customer service calls. I'm quite convinced that century link only exists because someone won't let it flop like it should have years ago. Genuinely excited for the days that Google has their fiber service ready.

Let me start by saying I made a Yelp account just to give this company a 1 star. Like some others have said, if I could give this company a 0 star I would. When it comes to the customer service it is by far the WORST experience I have ever had. Each person you talk to will tell you something different. I have been told 3 lies in 30 hours and they have the audacity to tell me I was "misinformed". No century link I was not misinformed, I was lied to on 3 occasions and it's your fault these employees aren't trained properly. I feel bad for the employees since they probably have to deal with 100s of disgruntled customers a day based off the fact they are not trained properly. If you are reading this because you are debating about this provider, I could not stress enough to look elsewhere. If you have ANY issues with your service through Century Link, you are FUCKED. There is no other way to put it.

CL home internet is low cost, but you get what you pay for: speeds are lower than advertised, and you can expect multiple outages a year, lasting a WEEK on average each time. Yes, a week. You'd think a company as big as CL would measure outages in minutes, but apparently not. If you need reliable fast internet, absolutely look elsewhere!

Omaha NE, First off I want to say I was happy with their internet service. WHEN IT WAS WORKING. Recently a mouse chewed a wire in the green box in the neighbors yard. We went HARD DOWN a couple Saturdays ago. Their automated phone line is like a CORN MAZE to get to a person, and when you do they are NOT local. We were promised several return to service dates that came and went without having anyone show up. On Day 12 of the outage after yet another blown off service appointment, we'd had it. Canceled service and called the competitor - who showed up on the next day and got us back online. The very next morning after the switch, TWO trucks showed up and fixed the green box to restore the neighbors to Century Link service. Apparently it takes people to drop to get them to notice. I'm not happy about this at ALL !!!

They have a good product at a good price, which is overall superior to what Cox is offering.Unfortunately the downside comes from their customer service. They either have not invested in this part of the company whatsoever or simply don't care. When my internet inexplicably stopped working (after previously being very reliable), they said it would be four days before they could get someone out here. Just completely unacceptable in a day and age where people (including myself) WFH.

Just trash. Trash customer service. Trash service. Trash communication. Trash wifi. And will charge you months after. And goodluck to anyone needing to call them.

Moved beginning of July and set up an appt to have internet set up on the 3rd. Got a text saying my appt had to be canceled "due to an equipment issue" and they "will continue to communicate updates as we work to resolve the issue" I finally had to call and ask what the issue was bc I had no updates. Found out the previous tenants never disconnected their service there and they couldn't do anything until they did. So I had to reschedule for the 8th. I called on the 7th to make sure the issue was resolved and that they would indeed be able to install my service the next day and I was told yes. Later that night I received a text saying my scheduled technician would arrive between 8 and 5 pm and I would get a text in the morning with a smaller time window, which I did get and it said after 12 pm. Great! At 4:15 I call and asked for an update. They told me they canceled my appointment bc if a "system error and there was no tech available. I wasted my entire day for nothing. No notification or anything. I shouldn't have to call to be told I was lied to. I had already taken a day off work and wasted an entire Saturday for nothing. Said the best they could do was have someone come out 5 days later. Just completely canceled my service bc I was not going to take another day off work to MAYBE get service. Will not recommend to anyone.
