We have been going to Gentle Dr. with ALL of our furballs since we moved here in 1994. That is 28 YEARS!!! and quite a few dogs and cats. Most have made it beyond their normal life expectancy. I attribute that to the care they've received Dr. Bashara and the entire staff are over the top. I am not sure you could find more sensitive caring Dr's or clinics. We have also used more than 1 location all with the same results.

I have been a customer of Gentle Doctor Animal hospital in Omaha for 21 years. I have always loved the communication skills of each vet and their caring nature. But, I am sad to say that their service has really slipped over the years and their costs are quite substantial over other vets in the area. Recently I paid more than $800.00 for our sweet dog from only 2 visits and didn't even receive one call back to see if my pet is doing ok. Overall, super disappointed in the service received at the in-person visit and follow up afterward.

This is the best vet we've had for our baby. We moved to Cali and our expectations has just been high because of them. From the techs to the vets, everyone has been amazing each time. They love what they're doing and it reflects in how they care for fur baby. Thank you for what you do!

If you want the best care for your pet in Omaha Gentle Doctor is the only choice. Been going to them for years. Since you are reading this review you are considering Gentle Doctor. Put down the device and give them a call as you found the best care in Omaha for your pet(s).

Our 9 year old rescue dog was experiencing severe itching (as she has done in the past). We recently moved to the Omaha Area from out of state and needed to find a new vet. We selected Gentle Doctor based on other reviews. Upon arriving, we were greeted warmly by the staff. We got to see Dr. Kanne shortly after we arrived. She did a great job evaluating our dog and quickly gave us options for treatment. After we completed the visit and our dog received treatment, we returned home. The itching has stopped and our dog is back to normal! We will be using Gentle Doctor Animal Hospital as our vet moving forward.

The best care ever! Dr Shawn Finch is the most caring compassionate vet I've ever encountered. The first time we met her she got down and interacted with my kids I was so impressed..ans she does that every time. Kelly, her tech, is amazing. Amy is my Reggies girlfriend, I say her name and he smiles. Everyone at Grant St and blonde are super friendly. Not crazy about the maple at grooming facility except when Amy is there, she makes it ok.

Dr. Bashara is outstanding!! He makes me feel like my dogs are the only two dogs in the world. He is compassionate, personable and knowledgeable. I can't imagine trusting the case of my two "children" with any one else. Thank you, Dr. Bashara, Rhea, and the rest of the wonderful team at Gentle Doctor!

Staff and Doctors are very welcoming and friendly. We switched from another clinic and they reviewed his records and did not try up selling us more than we needed. Very satisfied with Gentle Doctor.

Excellent care, very happy! On two separate occasions we needed to have our labrador seen same day. They were accommodating and efficient. On one of these occasions, they made room in a busy schedule for us. The day after both of these appointments we got a phone call from the doctor who had cared for our dog to check in on her progress. Caring, professional. No more expensive than if I had been able to get into her 'regular' vet office. High recommend.

Great doctors and service. The most expensive place in the city, so I guess it depends on how much you love your pet.

We had to transfer to this location of Gentle Doctor because the Vet at the 120 and Blondo location has a severe allergy to cats. Anyways, our cat recently developed an abscess that required several weeks in a cone and on antibiotics and a few follow-up visits. I cannot say enough nice things about the kind staff. On top of that, there was no charge for a couple of our visits which was incredibly generous of them. Overall, their pricing is very reasonable, the staff is great, and they work really hard to ensure your pet is in great health.

We have used Gentle Doctor for four years with our dog Ruby. We knew they were wonderful but truly never understood until our dog passed away yesterday. All their staff and doctors went above and beyond for her and for our family. Especially Whitney and Dr. Bashara. They were so compassionate and helpful in guiding us through the loss of Ruby.

Staff friendly. Went in for a senior dog examine; not sure the examine was any different than normal adult dog examination, but charged more. Wasn't informed of hidden costs before agreeing to treatment.

I just moved to the area and my dog has been sick since we got here. He has had viruses and ear infections, then an accident at the dog park that left him with stitched from urgent care. We needed to get the stitches removed and have his ears checked. I chose Gentle Doctor because it was close to me and I am so glad I did! My dog is very shy and distrustful of most people. Dr. Karen recognized that right away and went to work to gain his confidence. We had a fantastic visit. I don't know if they are more expensive than other vets but today was worth every dollar I paid. My dog had a fantastic experience, Dr.K identified some other issues I wasn't even aware of, and he is not afraid to go to the vet. Win, win, and win! You have to try this place!!

I was cautious given the negative reviews on Yelp but overall I've been pleased with the service at Gentle Doctor. I suppose a lot of it is finding the right veterinarian. Just like dozens of other places (dentists, hair stylists, etc) a bit part of your experience is the vet him or herself. I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes in the waiting room for my appointment. They always greet both of us (me and my pup) by name. There's a tech that escorts you back to the exam room and takes down some information. These folks vary in personality like anyone else, so I've definitely got a preference for some over others. The rooms are comfortable as well as useful. My veterinarian has a very caring personality. She truly seems to care about my dog and wants him to grow up well. She is gentle while giving vaccinations but firm when she needs to be. Unfortunately, she's only working one day a week now which limits flexibility. I find the prices higher than other places my friends go to.
