I have been coming here for almost 2 years and there have been a couple stretches that were smooth but overall the experience has been very frustrating.
The app they use has been unreliable and then just stopped working: twice I sent messages to the pharmacy through the app that they never received, at least 4 times I requested refills through the app that I got confirmation emails for that the pharmacy never received. For the last 3 months I have not even been able to log into the app without it immediately crashing. I have asked for assistance with the app and they just said to make sure I have notifications on but that was all they could help with.
The punctuality of this pharmacy is very poor because I have had 10+ times that I call to request a refill and they will tell me that it will be ready by a certain date and time. I show up after that day and time and I still have to sit down and wait for 10+ minutes while they get the prescription ready. I'd say only 60-70% of the time the prescriptions are ready to go when they say they will be.
The intra-office communication needs serious work: I have had 3 times that I call in a prescription refill where I talk to an employee and they say it will be ready by a certain time and date and then I show up and they have no record of the refill request. I have had to decrease dose on meds to stretch them out to get to the date that elmwood will finally have the refill that I requested or just entirely had to stop taking a med until they can get the med ordered and ready.
I told my friend I want to switch pharmacies and she told me: "I tried them one time and I had a terrible experience so I believe it."
My hope is to share my experience so that other people can make a more informed decision about who they want to manage their medications. There are some great employees but some that don't seem to care. It might be that the employees are overworked, I don't know. Either way, the issues have piled up for too long despite smooth stretches. I have since switched pharmacies and had zero issues for 6 months 🙌 The main purpose of a pharmacy is to provide medications prescribed by doctors; when a pharmacy cannot do that with some level of consistency, there is a big problem.

I have been using this pharmacy for a few years and I'm really grateful my doctor recommended it. Although Elmwood is not close to where I live, that's ok, they have free delivery! I also use their pill packs and it makes taking my medication super easy. The packs are made with recyclable material, which I appreciate. Everyone there is professional but also very kind and considerate. Glenn is my favorite delivery driver but all of them are nice. I just highly recommend this pharmacy!

Elmwood Pharmacy actually cares about the health of their clients! When Diabetic, asthma, surgery, etc... supplies are needed, they quickly deliver them. The difference between privately owned rather than large monopoly makes a tremendous difference!

Friendly always see that my medicine is delivered to me when they say it’s gonna be delivered. They take their time and explain everything with me my medicines and what can happen if I put two medicine medicines together and I really appreciate everything they do there they explain everything in details that I did not know before just going to any other pharmacy they don’t take all the care and concerned like this PHARMACY does and I think it’s number one in my books.

Elmwood pharmacy is califragic super whatever that word is supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. I had some troubles with acky road and say my house and in my medicine and they got all my medicine refill. I couldn't sever Ben so thankful in my life that I am thankful to these people. Thank you so much so much so much and yes I've got rid of the road. It's the LOL.
