I have been working with Steve at Fidelity K9 almost on a weekly basis since May 2023 after acquiring my male Belgian Malinois puppy, with the goal of training him to get his PDC title in the following year. I sought Steve’s help as he has had many years of experience working with sport/working dogs. As a first-time owner of a working breed, I was naturally overwhelmed by all the challenges that comes with raising such an intensely driven dog. Steve have not only helped me hand-in-hand with training my dog in obedience work and bite work, he has also assisted me in correcting my dog’s behavioral issues that is deep rooted in his defensive nature. If your goal is to raise a well-rounded dog who can perform in dog sports and protection work, as well as become a loving and harmonious family member, you have come to the right place.

*Edit* Of course I am glad our dog appears happy with his new owner. However, I am NOT happy with paying $3,600 for his aggression to escalate while he is in your care to the point that it’s too unsafe to bring him home. The new owner also reached out to us and said your staff seemed afraid of our dog.Our German Shepherd was showing aggression towards me (growling when I approached his kennel and/or attempted to put a collar/leash on him). This behavior was beyond our experience with dogs and as such was unsafe (also have 4 daughters 10 yr and under and husband travels frequently for work). We needed more than just basic training so we went with the 6 week Board and Train.Updates were limited to a weekly video posted to the FB page until Steve called at 5 wks in stating: our dog’s progress was limited and variable, he described him as “moody,” responding well one day and not the next and that this occurred across all trainers. He suspected anxiety as a potential cause and recommended anti-anxiety medication, which we provided the next day. A few days later another positive FB update was posted stating our dog was graduating. At the reintroduction/pick up meeting, Steve reviewed with us a trainer’s report he hadn’t read yet, which included that our dog had nipped at a female trainer’s leg and ended with: “In conclusion, it is my professional opinion as a dog trainer of over 4 years that due to genetics Auggie is unpredictable. He is nervous and is constantly in an anxious state. This anxiety manifests in aggressive or unwanted acts. The fact that he acts out against the trainers he is the closest to gives me concern for the safety of those around him.”Upon entering the training room for reintroduction, our dog’s hackles were raised and he immediately began growling at me until I was asked to leave the room, then a second trainer stepped in so that there were 2 trainers each with a leash restraining our dog. He didn’t calm even after I left the room and just my husband remained with the trainers. Both Steve and another trainer present stated they wouldn't bring our dog around kids. Their recommendations included: my husband be the only person to work with our dog for at least 2 weeks, that we not use a prong collar (before training this issue was just with me but now it caused aggression with everyone), and that our kids not go near the kennel (before training approaching the kennel was only a problem with me but was now with everyone). Taking this and the trainer’s report into consideration, we said that it was not safe for him to return home with us and asked to discuss our options.Positive outcomes can never be guaranteed, however, our dog’s training was not managed responsibly. My husband and I should’ve been made aware of the very clear escalation of our dog’s aggression prior to the pick up date. This would have provided us with time to plan for the chance it was unsafe for our dog to come home. I am thankful a safer home was found for our dog, but I’m disappointed that the very expensive training ultimately ended with rehoming him.

Steve and his Staff saved my Rottweiler’s (110 lb Rocco) life. He was very aggressive. Had bit 3 people including myself. After his 6 week program with Steve he was a new dog. The continued support and training, from Steve, has made Rocco a new dog. We still are smart and realize he can be aggressive. No kids. No stranger pets. Set him up for success. And he is successful!! Thanks!

I'm not sure I would use their services again. The response to this review was extremely unprofessional the day it was originally posted.

We are so happy that we chose to have Fidelity K9 train our dog, Franky. We rescued Franky and needed some help with obedience training. Making the decision to leave our dog with strangers for 6 weeks was not one that we made lightly but after meeting with Steve and his team we knew that we were leaving Franky in the right hands. Fidelity K9 staff are all so kind and knowledgable, we knew Franky would not only be well trained but be loved. One thing we were worried about was that sending our dog to board and train he would be changed and not be our same lovable dog. We are so happy to report that Franky is still the same silly boy he was, just better trained. This makes our lives at home so much better. Something important to know about doing board and train is we knew going in that this training was also going to be about training us as dog owners as well as Franky. Fidelity K9 has been so supportive in helping with training even after Franky has completed the program. If we have questions we call and Steve takes the time to help trouble shoot any training issues we are having. We would absolutely recommend Fidelity K9 for any training needs you may have.

Easily the biggest waste of 4000 dollars I have ever spent. After my dog spent a full 6 weeks there he learned like 4 tricks but to be fair my eleven year old son had already taught him 3 out of those 4 tricks before he went. The trainer thought it was a good idea to limit his water intake so he could use it as a reward for training but now you can't put a bowl of water down without him drinking so much he throws it right back up this wasnt a problem before he went when I said I thought he would have learned more the trainer said he may be an idiot but he is lovable.

Absolutely amazing trainers. My dog came back so well trained and the trainers there are kind and funny. They explained everything very thoroughly and they have lifetime support. We also had her groomed and she’s never looked better! Highly recommend

These trainers saved my relationship with my dog. Not only did they train him thoroughly but they taught me many things as well. I was hesitant at first due to the high price but after finishing the 6 week board & train, I would say it was worth every penny! After the 6 week program they also have a lifetime guarantee of support! These are great and knowledgeable people. They know what they are doing & they truly love and have a passion for your fur babies!

I moved to Omaha in June from Virginia and was in a tight spot. Our house wouldn't be ready for two months, and a hotel room just isn't the best spot for two GSDs. I contacted Fidelity K9 for their six week train & board. Our youngest just turned a year old, and we were struggling with getting her to the same level of obedience as our older shepherd. Our older shepherd was having a lot of leash reactivity and high anxiety. Steve reached out to me directly to go over what we wanted out of the program and the problems we were having with them at home.He really went above and beyond for us. As stressful as a cross-country move is, it was so kind of Steve to give us recommendations for places to stay that would take our dogs after they finished training and was incredibly flexible when we needed to postpone drop off because of a hiccup in our move. I could immediately tell that he genuinely cares about his clients. We dropped our dogs off and enjoyed catching their progress videos every week. They were improving and learning so much! I was shocked how well they handled our older dog's leash reactivity. Our youngest is practically a new dog.Our 2 week follow-up got pushed back because of my work schedule. In that time, our dogs were in a single hotel room and were feeling the cramped environment and having some trouble adjusting. We talked to the trainer at our follow-up, and she gave us the best pep talk ever. Since our follow-up, we haven't had any further issues. She made it clear we had lifetime support and to call if we were getting overwhelmed or having trouble with them. Again, everyone here always gave me the impression that they didn't just care about our dogs, but they cared about their people clients, too. We're all moved into our house with 2 well-behaved, great dogs, and I'm so thankful to the trainers at Fidelity K9.

Where to start? Fidelity K9 quite literally saved our household. I reached out to Steve in desperate need of some help with my 6 month old GSD. She was so stubborn and hardhead, and she did not train as easily as my older GSD did. The final straw came when she killed multiple chickens and attempted to kill our goats. I was at a complete loss and was ready to rehome her if I couldn't find help ASAP.Steve was in contact with me only hours after I had sent in a submission. We talked on the phone for almost an hour about my concerns, his concerns, challenges, solutions, and everything in between. He had my pup at his facility within 36 hours of my original inquiry. Steve was very honest about what he could and could not do, how he was going to go about training her, and setting real expectations when she came home. Early into the training Steve called me and had a very no nonsense conversation with me about what he was seeing and how he thought we should proceed. We pivoted her training to a path that was more suited for her drive and working abilities, and now she is like a totally different dog. With the help of Steve and all of his support staff, Lennox is looking at the possibility of being a certified police K9 by this spring.Again, we could not have gotten to this point without the support of Steve and everyone else at Fidelity K9. Within minutes of speaking to Steve I knew I had made the right choice, and that was confirmed for me when I walked into their facility to drop her off. Everyone truly loves what they do and cares for the dogs as if they are their own. I cannot say enough good things about Fidelity K9. They have been a savior for Lennox, myself, and our family!

Hi fidelity K9,New Update: 08/14/23Steve and Chris did great job and rectified most of the issues we were facing we are good for now.Previous: 08/12/23As I have waited more than 2 months after Rocky’s training, he is still the same like before nothing changed much as he is listening only when I have treats in my hand and that too he is fighting for treats to pull out of my hands. And he is whining a lot during his meals and very rude and biting our hands if are going near to him while he is eating same with the toys and bones. Food aggression didn’t changed abut even after training. And when I got e-collar I was trying to use it in very low initially as chris advised but he don’t even care about it range of stimulation is in between 8-12, then I raised to 15 to 20 to 25 now to 30 still he doesn’t even care about it as I have placed exactly chris told us to one to two finger space around his neck. And I have tried on my hand with number 7 on my hand it’s working on me but Rocky doesn’t care. And he was not used to bark at people before training now he is barking on everybody whom ever it may be which is annoying to everyone one I tried to calm him down and tried to distract him but he don’t listen. And also I see there was no kennel training for him as he is not staying in his cage not even for 5 minutes which we didn’t expect from your training which is expensive training. And when we tried to leave him in cage he is scratching and biting the cage bars very badly which is not at all acceptable. We thought we will have peace of mind after he gets trained but it’s horrible now can’t wait no more.I am so sorry to leave a review on your business but you made me to do so.

Fidelity K9 is great! They are very knowledgeable and great with the doggos! We are using their board and train program which is very competitively priced. They are a resource for the life of your dog when going through the board and train program. I would highly recommend them!

Fidelity did an absolutely incredible job with our puppy Zara! She's like a whole new girl! Would highly reccommend these guys if you have a pooch who's in need of training. Yes, they're a little pricey, but well worth the investment! Their 6 week training program goes by fast. Hats off to all of their trainers who really put so much effort into making sure your dog is well taken care of. Its so awesome to finally walk my dog and not have her pull me down the street and out of control! Thanks you guys!!!

May 1st we will pick up our weimaraner buddy, Cooper. So excited. His weekly videos during his 6 week Board and Train have been so encouraging. They have given him plenty of love while training. How do I know? He went from stressed because of a new environment too seeming very calm during his training sessions. Thank you Chris! Weimaraners love their people and don't like too much change. Having had 3. I also appreciate the foundation I can work upon with our buddy, Cooper.THANK YOU FIDELITY K9, for your instructions with our pup and with his Mom. Steve has always been available to ease any of my concerns while my buddy was gone.Worth the time and money
