Note that the aggregate score here lumps together reviews from when this location was a Great Western Bank so it's probably artificially high. This is NOT the same bank anymore.Wasn't happy to see Great Western go, and now....well....now I'm REALLY not happy. What is the use to customers of having an app with a check deposit feature if it's just going to hold my checks out of my account ALL WEEKEND. This did not happen with Great Western. I could have held onto them and deposited them Monday morning as I feel like that would have been faster. Not being open on Saturdays and then cutting the open times during the week by an hour, are pretty awful things to do to your customers. You might as well not be open at all, as far as I'm concerned as I'm working during your only business hours.Now, I'm going to be late paying a couple of bills. And I'll pay a fee for having the convenience of being late.After some looking into it - I see that WELLS FARGO owns FIB. I suppose that explains things. Note to everyone - places like First National STILL offer fee-free checking with no minimum balance and the same online features. They even have an account-opening bonus right now which I will take advantage of to recoup the late fees caused by FIB's "fast and convenient" check depositing feature.Closing my account here ASAP and will definitely not consider FIB for small business needs in the future. None of your customers asked for this, but boy, did they get it.Keep in mind you're an unsecured creditor to a bank when you deposit your money. They're charging you fees to make money on your money. Not someone I want to do business with. Ever.Update: This morning I went to deposit another check and see if they could maybe check on the other two checks that the mobile app doesn't want to deposit. She said they don't show up in her system and there is no answer at the main branch when she tried to call. It's 10 am. She said to just wait and come back. NOW, I have to take more time off work to go back to the bank and probably still not have any resolution. Also to test out their honesty, I turned in some change that I had counted first - twice. It was miraculously $10 short.Do you do this to people on purpose? The fees aren't enough and you have to actually steal?Again, don't use FIB. If nothing has happened to you yet, it will.

RUN, run as far as you can from First Interstate! I was with Great Western for over 20yrs and never had a problem with them. This other bank takes over and everything went to $h!t. First off...you get a fee, they get a fee, everybody gets a fee!! Secondly, and I may be picky here but Mastercard instead of Visa...come on really. Third, horrible customer service now. And to put the icing on the cake...the fraud, yes, FRAUD that they let happen to multiple accounts. At the point of writing this, it has been over two weeks since it happened, they have not given anyone their money back yet and when I called about it, I had to sit on hold for an hour and half to get the run around. You know if we were to owe the bank money, they would charge us a daily interest rate. Bottom line, if you want to have money go open an account somewhere else.

I have a saving account that I used to put money aside for projects, so the balance fluctuates, but it has never gone below $100. A couple of months ago, I noticed there was a $5.00 service charge on my statement. I called First Interstate to find out the reason for the fee. I spoke to someone in customer service and explained my concern. She stated that the reason for the charge was that my account had dropped below $200. I explained to her that Great Western didn’t have this policy and this is the first time I’ve heard about it and for that reason, my $5.00 should be refunded. Moving forward, I understand that this policy exist, but it’s unfair to penalize people for not knowing about the new policy. Anyhow, I never got my money refunded and they charge my another $5.00 on this months statement. I called First Interstate again, because I moved money over to that same account immediately after the initial call to them, making the balance $400. However, I was told that at the very beginning of the statement period, the account was under $200, so basically, by the time I made the initial call it was already to late. I informed the young lady about my previous call about the initial incident, but she said that I had to call another person for a refund, but who has time for the run around. If you took time to read this, I think the message is clear. Chose a different bank.

I have been banking with Great Western for 7 years and it was great! Ever since the transition from Great Western to Interstate, I have had more problems than I ever had. Saturdays are not offered which makes it inconvenient, I was charged a fee for something that wasn’t explained prior, and the electronic bill takes two weeks to be processed and then a check is written instead of being an electronic payment which caused my bills to be paid late and now I have late fees. Recently money was taken from my account for three bills I paid three weeks ago which put me negative in my account.It has been nothing but a bad experience with a smile. I will be finding a different bank

I was with GWB for 8 years (I loved it) don’t have any complaints there but now with the transition to First Interstate Bank its making it hard to get to the bank since they changed their hours drastically! No saturdays anymore and M-F it’s only 9 am to 5:30pm which is the hours that I work, I enjoyed being able to come to GWB either Saturday morning or on my way to work before 9am. Might have to change banks even though I don’t want too.? Please do 8am-5:30pm M-F at least!

Possibly the roughest buyout and transition, not to mention they aren’t open Saturday at all anywhere. I will be switching banks Monday.

Have not really had any issues with them. Whenever I come in to deposit my room mates half of rent they're always helpful, I am attempting to get some credit history started the person at the time, Though I wish I could remember they're name was incredibly helpful and very informative they even cleared up any confusions I had.

Only been going to this bank for about a month and I dread going. No one seems happy to help the customers and all of the bank tellers attitudes are never that great. It’s very uncomfortable to interact with them because they are never welcoming. And I am not the only one that feels this way about this location.

Worst bank I have ever had. Constantly charged 70 dollar overdraft fees when money has been deposited.Charged 35 dollar overdraft fees when there is money in my account.They do not care at all about the pandemic.They might as well be working for hitler or trump

The ATM here would not take a deposit. I asked a drive up teller why, and he said the GWB atm does not accept deposits, even even though I have a checking account here. Really, in the year 2020? Other banks were taking atm deposits over 30 years ago! The driveup gets too slow and stacked up at times and I need to be able to use the ATM for deposits.
