Horrible experience here. I’m sure they really are over staffed, but I’ve been told my prescription won’t be ready for 30 minutes on three straight separate trips over the course of the past 24 hours (the first time I actually just shopped and waited for 30 minutes). I don’t understand how that works?! Do they not just fulfill the orders in chronological order?! If I ever actually get my medicine, I will not be using this pharmacy again!

I’ve been using this Pharmacy and the grocery store for close to 20 years. For the past few months the service at the pharmacy has been very slow and it’s obvious they are well understaffed. The “helpful smile” slogan does not exist anymore at this pharmacy. It’s rather sad to see.

Without a doubt, you are the worst pharmacy ever. You dont' care about customer service, you don't even know what that term means. You procrastinate, you flat give the wrong prescriptions (this literally happened today) and you lie. yes, you lie.

Worst service EVER!!! Not just me but 3 other people were told they had to come back. An older gentleman was having a problem with his medications and the person at the pharmacy made him tell him the problem from far away so everyone could hear him. No courtesy whatsoever.

I've been at this Pharmacy for over a year. I have never been satisfied with the service but tolerated the extreme bad service because they had the best Good RX price for medication . . Now it does not have a competitive pricing on Good RX. The Pharmacist said we have to choose that they only accept one insurance for our medication Good Rx or our insurance .It brings into question the motives, a senior citizen trying to meet the increase cost of prescription to make it daily, the message sent by the Pharmacist is who cares because it is inconvenient of to running Good RX over your insurance and is a hassle. This with the extreme poor service provided and limited communication from this particular pharmacy that is poor at best on a good day. I strongly recommend you review your options. On top of this I can not get a response when questioning if a prescription is re-filled.You are better to use another option as we will be doing

If you can avoid using this pharmacy I definitely would. We used to be at the shadow lake Hy-Vee pharmacy and everyone was always lovely and helpful. We moved out this way and started getting our scripts here, the kids who work back here in their 20s or so are so absolutely kind and sweet. The adult people who work on this pharmacy are absolutely rude and disrespectful. My husband was given the wrong needles for his injections which is fine, accidents happen. I called and the person I talked to said come in and they'd give me the correct ones. When I arrived and told the woman helping me, she rolled her eyes, scoffed and said "do you even know what ones you need" I have never been so rude to a patient. I understand a pharmacy can be stressful. I work in an emergency room but common. That was my last straw of patience with the rudeness in this place. Hy-Vee we really enjoy your store, I would definitely do some quality control in your pharmacy as this was one out of a handful of terrible customer I interactions we've had with them in the span of the 5-6 months we've been there. Can you imagine being a patient fighting for your life needing their empathy and help and being greeted by this type of Completely inappropriate interactions.

I've been filling a number of scripts since a work related fall resulting in multiple fractures two years ago. 3/2/23 2 diff doctors phoned in scripts. One was oxycodone 5mg #40 the other was for percocet 10/325 #90. I saw that both scripts were filled the same day I called the pharmacy & spoke with Nick.I told him it was not necessary for me to pick up both of those scripts the same day and said I'd pick up the oxycodone #40 & fill the percocet when my #40 ten day supply was depleted. I called to fill the percocet today because my 10 day supply ends on Saturday and work comp scripts run through the computer for payment aren't authorized on the weekend. When I called to ensure the oxycodone was ready on 3/2 the woman answering said it wasn't going through with work comp & I explained to her that anything filled after 3:30pm m-f wouldn't be approved as my adjustor is not available. She offered to run it through my private insurance for authorization but I explained that would be fraudulent & that I'd just pay cash. Fast forward to today when I spoke with Lindsey. The first thing she said was "nope I will not be filling that for you, you picked it up the other day." Again, Nick did not dispense it on 3/2. I tried explaining this situation to her again but she continued to talk over me. I told her to please allow me to speak or get someone else on the phone. I explained the situation & that I could have easily picked up both prescriptions on 3/2 but asked Nick to place the #90 on hold until I needed it. She said "nope I'm not filling it you picked up oxycodone #40 a week ago." At that time I told her that because it's work comp it needed to be authorized before the weekend otherwise I'd have to wait until Monday. I have been bedridden and unable to walk for over two years. I have multiple fractures in my leg & ankle that for 2 yrs haven't healed. Does she think it's funny to accuse someone of misusing medication? Does she contain any ounce of humanity or kindness?

I'd give it zero stars if possible. I've used them for 5 years and they have gotten ruder and less competent each year. If you can actually get them to answer the phone they will be nasty and sarcastic. The final straw was going to pick up a prescription that my doctor put in 8 hours ago and they tell me they are out of it and don't know when they'll get more in. No phone call ahead of time. No desire to give me a solution. They just wanted me to go away. After I explained that I need this prescription today they reluctantly tell me I can go to a different Pharmacy and if they have it in they can call Hy-Vee to transfer it. So I go to Walmart down the street they had plenty of it in and guess what nobody answers the phone for the pharmacist nobody answers the phone for me. I had to call five times in a row and when the woman finally answered I explained the entire situation and I said I had to repeatedly call because they weren't answering the phone for the pharmacist and she says "obviously we answer the phone I just answered the phone didn't I?". This is what you deal with consistently at the Hy-Vee Pharmacy on Welch. Angry employees who have zero desire to actually help customers. I will never go there again and wouldn't recommend anyone else to either.

This pharmacy is a joke! I have been actively trying to get my inhaler time after time and there’s always an excuse with these people! Always saying it’s the doctors office or someone else. But every single time I reach out to the others they say they’ve already sent the prescriptions to THIS pharmacy. Then they try to act like it’s a game when you get there to see how long you wait. I was told it would all be ready by time I get there, a 10 minute drive plus I stopped for food an addition 10 minutes. Get there to pick it up and they have no record so they check around all over and found the prescription and go it’ll only be another 10 minutes. 15 goes by and they still have not filled a simple prescription. I had to get rude with them to finally get my medication. What a joke. I’ll be using CVS in the future.

Three times in a row I was told my medication would be ready for pick up at xxx time and I came an hour plus after the given time and my meds were still not ready.

I have been using this pharmacy for the last two years, but I think it's time to follow my husband to Walgreens and switch. Unfortunately the customer service just isn't there. The staff themselves are very nice, but the operation is just not working for me. If I ever have multiple prescriptions submitted, they are filled one at a time, and days apart. When I go to the pharmacy early in the day, during operating hours, I wait at the drive thru forever, sometimes more than 10 minutes while I ring the bell, and then I just have to leave because nobody answers the bell, or the phone when I call to say I'm at the window. The drive thru line takes soooooo long. I have called the pharmacy numerous times and it will ring and ring and ring with no answer, despite it's during working hours. Unfortunately this lack of organization and follow through just isn't working, as my fertility treatments are based on a timely schedule. It's hard when my pharmacy cannot keep up. I understand everywhere is short staffed, but timelines are VERY important to my treatment. This is why my husband switched to Walgreens, and his service has been so much more timely and manageable, which is SO important because of his mental health!!! This pharmacy would keep him waiting for days for medication he just couldn't miss. Unfortunately, I'm unimpressed and leaving.

I'll preface this by saying that I've been using this pharmacy for about 15 years now. I'm not sure what is going on the last several months here but the service has been especially slow. The app will say that my prescription is ready, when I show up, I'm told that it's not ready. Or out of my multiple routine meds that are on auto fill, one or two will be available at a time. Then I'm expected to go and pick them up one by one, or they'll get put away. It takes forever for meds to get filled once the script is called in. I don't why you don't feel the need to fill a prescription when it gets called in?The line is long and slow, inside and out, no matter what day or what time of day you go. When it's your turn, you're told your meds aren't ready and get back in line for another 20 min. My med required pre authorization by my insurance company, not only did I have to ask them to submit it but when my insurance gave them auth, no one updated the system or filled the med. I'm considering switching to another pharmacy. This is ridiculous. I'm in healthcare and I understand the staffing challenges but this is unacceptable. This is not how it used it be. And it's not the quality of service that Hy-Vee has branded itself on.

Tldr; Save yourself time and find somewhere else to fill your prescriptions! If I could give it a zero star I would. The people working here are extremely slow, usually 10 minutes per car in front of you. They also don't understand how to listen and follow through, I have used them for well over a year and a half and on 4 separate occasions I told them I get 90 day prescriptions but they end up filling only 30 day then tell me they don't have enough for 90 and this is after a 45 minute wait in their godawful line. (They also won't let me pay the 90 day price and just pick up the rest later, they want me to pay the 30 day price which is about 38 dollars more for 90 pills)This is by far the absolute worst pharmacy I have EVER used in 20 years. I couldn't even transfer my prescriptions because they don't know how to answer a phone. This place is a complete waste of time and hyvee should be very ashamed of this location.I have given these folks many chances to make things right but in the end I don't have the time to do this EVERY TIME I renew my prescriptions.
