JCPenney is one of the nation's largest apparel and home furnishing retailers, providing customers with unparalleled style, quality, and value since 1902. Customers can browse a wide variety of kids', men's, and women's apparel, as well as footwear, jewelry, accessories, and more, with free shipping and curbside pickup available. The store also features a new beauty concept, JCPenney Beauty, offering skincare, makeup, and beauty deals from big-name brands like Covergirl and e.l.f., as well as Black-owned brands through Thirteen Lune. While the material and product quality is generally better than cheaper stores, the prices can be a bit marked up. The store layout can feel like a maze, especially in the downstairs area, and the categorization of items could be improved. However, the selection of big and tall clothing is better than at some other locations, and the store offers a wide range of national brands like Adidas and Levi's, along with their own private labels. The jewelry section is a highlight, with a helpful and courteous staff who remember regular customers' preferences. Overall, JCPenney provides a varied shopping experience, with a mix of strengths and areas for improvement.
JCPenney is an ideal department store for Boomers, it has all the tropes from a successful store of 100 years ago. I went in looking for clothes for a new office job and found them. But it felt rundown and poorly maintained.

The single checkout is not very efficient...always a line and quite a walk depending upon what department you are shopping in
