Subpar. Had key issues, once for the self parking, and once for trying to get into the room itself. No amenities other than expensive pricing at the restaurant. The food was ok, desserts were disappointing. No trash bags in the trash cans in the room. TVs were older, needs updating. Noticed a huge stain in the hallway on the 2nd floor, and the rugs in common area were in bad shape. I expected more considering how much it cost to stay. Location was convenient. Save your money, go to the Hilton.

Recently stayed here for March Madness & the hotel was beautiful. It was in close proximity to a lot of restaurants and walking distance from a dollar general. If you’re in town for the an event at the Chi Health Center, the hotel is a 20+ minute walk but could easily be uber or driven to. Very respectful and welcoming staff from my experience especially with our group being as large as it was. Aside from the wifi not working the best on my phone, I had no complaints.Rooms: We stayed in a room with 2 queen beds. The layout was nice and I absolutely loved the bathroom. The room has the common amenities expected in a hotel room with a desk for working as well as a mini fridge. I don’t think there was a microwave, but I don’t think I simply didn’t see it.Walkability: There’s many places within walking distance of the hotel. If you don’t mind it, you can really save on Uber and parking by walking around the city.Food & drinks: Some of the spots I wanted to try, especially for breakfast weren’t the best walkable places to go to despite being a mile away. There was a bakery spot that some of the ladies really enjoyed but it wasn’t my cup of tea. If you’re just looking for a small bite and coffee you’ll have no issues. For lunch/dinner you’ll be close to spots like doozy and pepperjax being about a 6 minute walk away. If you’re looking to possible save on eating out, there’s a dollar general located some blocks down from the hotel.

Beautifully done rooms (not your chain look), heavy room- darkening drapes, luggage benches at the foot of each bed, and well-appointed bathrooms. Bathroom sliding privacy door is a heavy one, though. Their lobby smells wonderful, and there's a restaurant available for lunch, dinner, and late night drinks or dessert. Beds are comfortable! Modern amenities in an olde world hotel. On street parking and back lot parking available.

Check in was horrible, we showed up at 3:11pm and told our room was not ready and told to come back at 4pm to pick up our keys. Fine, came back at 4:00 pm, that we just needed to pick up our keys, the lobby was so packed and watched nobody getting checked in, to the point the front desk clerks leaving and going into elevators, people were waiting for 1/2 hour to an hour. What are they doing? Then sent us up to our room that was still getting cleaned and stood in the hallway for 15 minutes and watched the maid on the phone and trying to clean with one hand. For the price, not worth it. Half used lotion, and all essentials just thrown in the corner of bathroom. The only thing good was location and they put themselves as high end. I would never say high end.Noteworthy details: Not worth the price.

Stayed at this hotel for a night after enjoying a performance at the Orpheum theater. The room was clean but a little worn. Seemed like it was due for a refresh. The front desk staff was wonderful and check-in process was quick. They do valet park but no signs out front so it was a little confusing on where to park. The restaurant and bar was nice and the food was great! But it was closed after the performance (10:00pm) and it left us wanting to enjoy a drink with nowhere to go. They definitely are missing out on some business. For the price I was expecting a little higher end amenities and available bar.

The hospitality has been top notch. The restaurant, Olive & Ira, is clearly going through some changes in menu and staffing, but despite that the people are kind and welcoming and as accommodating as they can be. Kenya was our server for brunch and drinks and made us feel so very welcome with her warmth and attentiveness. We hope to return soon, the next time we’re in Omaha. Thanks for everything. ☀️

For the price we paid I thought it was a good deal. My only complaint would be the street lights and not being able to fully close the curtains. Other then that it was a nice stay.

I ordered the plush robe. The robe on my bed was a short sleeved waffle robe and was not the same one advertisedon the website. When I called the front desk they stated this was there new robe. Room had not been vacuumed. Carpet was stained and filthy. Upholstery on the furniture was stained and filthy. Kitchen had no dishes, utensils, or towels. No room service for breakfast or lunch, only dinner. The vending machine was on the 4th floor. Wifi didn't work well. The only good thing about this stay was the bed and the rustic building. Front desk staff was friendly.

When greeted at the front desk, I got no smile, no welcome, no feeling of being welcomed. The gentleman who parked me car for me was very friendly and so was the person who brought up room service--food was mediocre. The room was fine but nothing special. There was a small roll of toilet paper and no extra. Left over make up container for the last guest on the floor of the bathroom. Appeared to be "cleaned" in a rush because bathroom mirror still partially dirty. No cups were left in the room for me to make coffee in the in room machine. Honestly, none of the "issues" would have bothered me if the person who greeted me at the front desk had made me feel welcome and not a burden. It set the tone. I would have given 1 star but for the two gentlemen who were so nice. Hope you improve because I stayed here 10 years ago and had a very different experience.

Lots of issues, no hot water for shower. Cigarette burns in sheets. Moldy vents in room. No insulation between walls so could hear people next door easily. Brought up at check out and they did not care. Will stay at Cottonwood from now.

I visited the restaurant in the Magnolia for brunch/lunch today with friends. They have a breakfast and brunch menu on their website, but don't make it clear when that ends on weekends, so when we arrived at 11am it was a lunch menu only. Kind of disappointing, but there were some good options on there. We came in with a larger group, but were the only ones in the restaurant the entire morning and did not come close to filling the breakfast area. Still, the food took an extremely long time to come out, and I think it was easily over an hour. The server was great though and super friendly. I ordered the southwest chicken melt and while it was okay, I wouldn't order it again. I didn't really notice any of the listed ingredients on it, like it barely had avocado on it. There were large pieces of iceberg lettuce on it, which was wilty. The restaurant is super nice and has beautiful decor and furniture. Being such a nice place, I was really hoping that the food would be great to be a cool new brunch spot, but unfortunately I was very disappointed. While the food was okay, I just don't think I have reason to return, unless I want to spend all morning waiting for okayish food. Omaha has many great brunch places, so I would look elsewhere for that.

1st of all, props to Belinda. She was the check-out gal at the front desk. She saw me taking pictures and suggested I might to take one of the historical postcards. She was right. Very friendly.I absolutely loved the architecture and the feel of the old building. It's old-school-cool from the moment you walk in. Thank you for maintaining the architectural details. The bed was very comfortable. But I need to take a star off for 3 reasons.1) The check-in staff made me feel like I was bothering them. I checked in at 9:45pm so it's not like there was a rush. I also didn't appreciate being nickel and dimed over the parking. $29 (plus tip) valet or $25 to drive myself to the back of the building and park un the secure lot. C'mon man.2) Dogs. Glad the hotel ownership feels the need to appeal to that market segment but I don't like dogs and one never properly clean carpeting after a dog has a mistake. I did not feel clean in the room.3) With the homeless, I did not feel safe walking the neighborhood plus our room heard every fire truck and police car.Rooms: Very safe beds but don't thing that other people's dogs and carpeting is a good mix. I did not feel clean.Safety: The neighborhood has homeless people. It didn't feel safe. Glad the hotel has a secure lot.Walkability: There are many hip night spots about a block away. Just go with a crowd.Noteworthy details: Architecture. It an absolutely beautiful hotel. A rooftop deck would have been the cherry on top but that patio comes darn close.
