This Walmart is located in Millard and the parking lot would represent a good crowd today. Parking is plentiful at this location and the store is clean but not super clean. Restrooms could use more attention but it's not filthy. Most staff seem friendly but no one is going out of their way to ask if you need assistance. Grocery section is well stocked and prices seem reasonable compared to other grocery stores. The self-checkout would be the way to go if you are in a hurry compared to waiting in line for a cashier to swipe your groceries/products. Overall, no major complaints at this location today. It was conveniently located and easy to make my way into the parking lot.

You know, before covid, I used to somewhat enjoy grocery shopping. Now I detest it. And every time now when I leave this store I'm irritated and highly annoyed. I understand the struggles with supply issues, empty shelves and being short staffed that every place is experiencing and is out of your control. So given the challenges already presented, perhaps your store could help improve the shopping experience for your customers in ways you CAN control. First, you rearranged the entire store and then made the aisles narrower during a time when online shopping has hugely increased. So now added to the already cramped aisle space, your "shoppers" for the online orders with their huge carts and bins are constantly in the way. Yes I know they're necessary to fulfill the orders but rarely do they say "excuse me" or even acknowledge your presence as you're standing there trying to get past them. And heaven forbid there's another person on the other side of the shopper wanting to go the opposite direction, we're all standing there like it's a 4 way stop and nobody is moving. Then there's stocking going on, more carts, boxes, and employees adding to the already congested space. The shelves are a mess, products aren't pulled forward to the edge so those of us who AREN'T 6' 2" can reach them. When I can't reach a product because there's only 1 or 2 left way at the back on the top shelf, I'm not hunting down an employee to get it for me, I go and buy it somewhere else. Usually Hy-vee, they have supply issues too but their shelves are kept neat and products are pulled forward. And their employees are courteous and friendly, even their "shoppers" at least smile and say hello. What really irritated me was two visits ago in the laundry soap aisle were two young employees just standing there chit chatting about nothing important trust me, certainly not work related, and of course, in my freaking way. They didn't have any carts or filling online orders, not stocking shelves, they were just standing there talking away, standing right in front of the detergent I wanted. And when I reached for the bottle behind one of them he moved like an inch to the side, and just kept on talking to his friend. Didn't acknowledge me, no "sorry, excuse me".... nothing! And then today, same thing happened. This time in the paper products aisle I got to listen to two employees as they were stocking toilet paper, or "butt wipes" as the one employee called it laughing and talking very unprofessional. Is this what you pay your employees to do? Stand there on the clock, being unprofessional, unhelpful, and to make the shopping experience worse for your customers? How about those employees who don't have enough to do go straighten up the shelves, pull products to the front, help empty boxes and stock shelves and get at least THOSE things done quicker so they can get the bins and boxes out of the customers way. You know, like team work? Help your co workers instead of standing around talking and being worthless? Or perhaps provide some customer service like making themselves available to customers who need some assistance reaching an item? Or " Anything I can help you find today?" Yeah I never hear that from your employees. It's frustrating enough to need certain items and it's out of stock, zero lettuce not so long ago. Completely empty bin. Every visit there's something I need and it's not there. I don't need the extra annoyance of your rude and immature employees and cramped aisles on top of it. Today really made me rethink my weekly grocery shopping location. I kept going there because the prices are a little lower than other stores and the location is slightly closer to home. But the frustration of shopping there just isn't worth it. I may stop in from time to time for an item or two but I'm going elsewhere from now on for the bulk of my weekly shopping trips. Very disappointing as th

The stock and convenience is worth return trips when I don't want to go to the main stores. With that said... one of their associates "Kaylee" is easily the rudest associate I've ever encountered. I witnessed her barge in front of a customer while filling her online orders and then turn and ask the customer if she was waiting on her to move? When the customer said that she was, she straight up told her "well you're going to be waiting a while then". Since that incident I've seen her multiple times and it's always the same attitude every time. How does a manager continue to employ somebody like her?

I have always been impressed with this location and have never had an issue shopping inside for groceries or with their pickup option. The groceries always seem to be ready before the actual pickup time which is great when in a rush. I was pleasantly surprised today when my groceries were being put into my trunk, a very kind worker gave me a bouquet of fresh flowers with my order and told me to have a wonderful day. Truly did make my entire day and was such a nice surprise. They have always been very helpful and kind and this was the cherry on top.

Due to covid, I have been avoiding places with large gatherings of people. Because of this, I've been utilising the order-aheadtpickup service at the grocery store. Unfortunately, it seems that a lot of the times, items I pay for via the app (bc it says they're available) aren't available when I come to pick them up. The last few times, I wasn't even notified of the substitution/cancelations until I got home.

The one positive about this store is its easy access, quick in and out. The negative is, a majority of my trips there results in at least one of the items on my list being sold out. How does this happen so frequently? This morning I was after a particular item that I attempted to buy there 3 times in the past 6 months, but 2 of those times the item was sold out. I brought this to the attention of Cynthia, (I believe she is a morning supervisor). She stated that the computer automatically orders the items and in this case, it only orders 3 of them at a time. This item is very small, smaller than a jelly jar. While we were standing at the empty shelf space, I pointed out that there was room to stock at least 12 of them in a single row. So each time they only ordered 3, the rest of the shelf behind the items was always empty. I suggested the manager override the computer and order 6 of that item instead of 3 so they wouldn't always run out. This is not a food item so it has a 4-year shelf life. I was just making a suggestion that maybe Cynthia could bring this problem up to the manager but she wanted to respond with excuses as to why it may not be possible to do that, eg; the computer auto orders, the manager may not be able to override, etc... The amount of time she stood there telling me the excuses, Cynthia could have just jotted down a note to take to the manager. I was trying to explain to her the importance of making sure upper management knows of potential problems because it may result in a loss to the store. For instance, Like every other time I am there with a list of things I need, if I cannot get one of the items on my list, I do not purchase anything beings I have to go to a different store anyways, I will just buy everything at the next store. I certainly can't be the only customer who does this. How much lost revenue does this cost the store in one month, one year? I tried explaining this to Cynthia but she didn't care and walked away. I then watched her talking and laughing to another employee. One of the reasons stores go out of business is due to employees wanting to just provide the very bare minimum effort.

Easy to get in and out of the store. Because it's a smaller neighborhood store it's less crazy traffic than regular Walmart superstores. They sell beer, wine, and liquor and they also have some more healthy organic/vegetarian items. Most employees here are friendly. Occasionally there's a grouchy employee who isn't friendly.

Don't waste your time - you want quantity foods and produce? You want great customer service - go to Hy-Vee. Wal-Marts the way they are because they are all about that dollar- they screw the staff pay them s*** wages and treat them like crap. So what do you expect? Hy-Vee has far better everything
