I was charged a fuel fee, even after returning my rental with a full tank of gas! Would not recommend due to fraudulent charges!!!

Fanna at the counter was very nice and helpful, but as is typical with so many rentals these days, the type of vehicle I requested (compact) was not available and I was offered either a minivan or a pickup truck--neither of which is close in size and maneuverability to a compact car! But it was a safe vehicle.

Terrible! Reserved a compact sedan but was stuck having to take a gas guzzler truck. Clerk was rude. Truck didn’t have a full tank of fuel when we finally got it. Nobody cared or wanted to help. Do not rent from Payless!

Payless is a great place to rent a car! The service was exceptional! Even when I rented for a day later than my arrival, they went out of their way to accommodate my need and get me a car a day early. I can't say enough positive about my experience. Thank you Payless!

This was the worst car company! I rented a car to go to a basketball tournament in Omaha. On the 3rd day, I had a flat tire & called from a gas station. It took me 40 minutes to get through on the "customer care" line and even then, it was difficult to pin down what was happening. I ended up waiting over 3 hours for a man to come change the tire and they billed me for towing & administrative fees = $88.11! Plus the cost of the rental and I missed the last day of activities entirely! I will never rent from "PAYLESS" again!

Great experience and easy customer service. They waited for us as our flight was delayed and we arrived just before closing at 1 am. We are so thankful because otherwise our family of 5 would have had to wait until 7:30 am to get our car.

From the reservation agent to the check in agent to the drop off agent, all went smoothly with no problems. The vehicle was great and a very good price point.

I was given a car with a slow leak in the tire. When I called customer service I was told I would have to pay for repairs, even though the low tire pressure light came on while driving from the garage to my destination. Finally I was able to exchange the vehicle at a nearby airport. Upon exchanging the vehicle, they “upgraded” me to a larger car. This car was filthy. I could barely see out of the windshield and food was sticking to the side of the door. It clearly hadn’t been washed and the breaks were super squeaky. Since I’d already walked back to the terminal twice I decided just to take it and be on my way. Definitely would not recommend renting from Avis/Payless.

I rented a small SUV for about $90/day, which was already crazy, but it’s during the Men’s college World Series, so I get it. Intended to have the vehicle for 8 days, for a total of around $880. I returned the vehicle early, as I had to fly back for a family emergency. Payless charged me a daily rate of $181 because I didn’t keep it a week, and for less than half of the time, I got to pay the same price. Will never rent with them again.

When I asked to change vehicles upon arrival to Omaha airport (Payless)Manager had a problem with me having a problem with an suv that smelled bad, drove rough and brakes squeaked. Then another employee echoed her(manager) defense of the vehicle. Rather than simply offering me to switch to another vehicle they took another approach for some reason

Loved this place. Hooked me up with a nice vehicle for my stay and it was perfect for the family. My kids loved it for sure. It was quick and easy for me to get the car and go....I had already booked it ahead of time but check in and so forth was great. Staff were great! Def will use again.

I had to delay my flight and was told I wouldn't have a problem picking up my car a day late. Payless doesn't have employees at the airport, and Avis made it a hassle to get my car. I had to climb in the passenger side because it was parked so close to the next car. It smelled clean, but windows were dirty, there was trash in the car, surfaces were dirty. The car had not been cleaned well... a quick vacuum in visible areas and an air freshener to cover the rest. After returning the car with no incidents, I was told I would get my damage fee returned. Lo and behold, I was charged another $300!!! Now, I'm in the middle of trying to get that money back. I prepaid for the car rental and insurance. I won't be using Payless again.

Gas tank was NOT full when we picked up the car. Spoke with custom care, and 3 other employees no one cared. So I had to pay for someone else's gas! That stinks!

i picked up my car on the 18th od April at the Omaha Airport. Everything was great , a new car and just what i wanted . I got to Sioux City and the next day i noticed the tags were going to expire on the 21st and i had it rented until the 30th. I called customer service and they said they would check into it. About 15mins later i received a text to drive to the Sioux Falls airport and they would exchange it. i drove the hour up there and walked in to the Avis rental .I told the man behind the counter that i was here to exchange a car . He said they do not deal with payless and there isnt one there. i showed him the text and he said that means nothing to him. Needless to say i was getting a little upset. i went back out to the car and called customer service again. i talked to a gentleman who said he would transfer me to someone else. The call was droppped. i called back and talked to another person, they said they would transfer me to someone who could help. It went to a number no longer in service. i then called and talked to a women who said she would look into it and call me back. She did call back and told me to go back to the airport and they would exchange. I went back to the airport and talked to the same guy i talked to before. i said you should have a message here is another text that you will exchange cars , He said i have not received anything stating that.i then asked him to go check his messages .10 mins later he came back out and said all i have is a pick up. i said that wont work i am taking me 85 year old mother to my aunts funeral and she cant get in and out. he then stated well i guess i cant help you. Most of your people i dealt with were very nice and were tring to help , this guy was a j*** .

I'm at my witts end with this company. I have called the customer service multiple times and all I get is hung up on. And told me that they can't help me. I rented a car april 5 thru the 8th, returned it on time, only thing I didn't do was fill the tank because I didn't want to turn in late. I prepaid for the vehicle weeks in advance, and then i get there and am told that i have to pay 250 deposit, so i do. i HAVE YET TO GET MY DEPOSIT BACK. in stead i get a bill and receipt says i returned the car late and without gas and being charged 90.00 so i talked to the first customer service gal. she says ok im releasing the deposit back and refunding me for the 81 they charged me for gas. gave me a case number and everything. fine. so the card you guys have on file for me got stolen when my wallet was stolen at work later that day. i call back and they said there is nothing they can do to call my bank. so i call my bank.and since my card is deactivated and they are sending me a new one they said to call rental place. now i know any bank transfer deposit whatever can get a stop payment and i can either give them a diff account card ort get a check. they said absolutely it isn't possible. payless car rental is robbing me for my money and if you cant help me who can? I'm so mad.
