Very friendly & polite staff. The various staff I talked to during my phone calls to PenFed were all amazingly professional but way more important to me is that they were so very friendly! I wish I had written names down but I would just go ahead and give all of those “frontline”employees you have a big raise in pay!

This organization is the worst organization to deal with if you have to change your phone number they make you jump through all kinds of obstacles just to change any of your account information, get ready this organization is just absolutely difficult so be prepared if you are trying to open up an account here or if you're just trying to establish yourself at this organization beware they are very difficult to deal with I have never in my life suffered such mental anguish like I do with this crazy organization if the interest rates were not so high I would leave this organization.???

The most truthful part of this listing is the title - No Member Services! Something has changed with these folks, with the first thing I noticed being they stopped accepting check deposits at the ATMS that used to work perfectly. Then they started changing your account information WITHOUT your knowledge or permission. Calls are answered by pleasant humans (I think) that have little knowledge of their own procedures, or authority to correct their numerous mistakes. Looking to leave. Sorry.

Opened a new savings account. Was going to transfer my bank of America checking, savings and auto loan.Had to beg to get an account when they would not validate my ID. Finally after 2 weeks of back and forth they opened an account when someone manually entered it. When I transferred money they locked me out of my account again to validate me. Called more times then I can remember. Never got any calls back. Left numerous messages. Even emailed the board of directors, what a joke and i got an automated response, generic reply. Worse customer service I've ever experienced. No one calls you back. They profile who they want thier members to be. Discrimination at its finest.No one should beg to have an account to keep their money.Closed my account...Worse bank and experience ever.Your better off with your money in a sock under a mattress then with penfed.

3/22/22: DO NOT GET LOANS HERE! I can tolerate long hold times and customer service representatives who conduct themselves in a manner of respect conducive to solve a customer's inquiry or concern, but my patience is growing extremely thin with this lender. I was approved for an auto loan and have yet to receive the check, yet Shenaz - one of varying PenFed supervisors - informed me a check would be overnighted and I would have tracking information today. No tracking information, no check, they don't wire money either, and I just spent another hour on the phone dealing with Louann - an Omaha based supervisor - who did absolutely nothing but question the integrity of my communications with Shenaz the previous day. I'm so appalled right now after speaking with Louann while resolving nothing I'm on the verge of going with a different lender. I'm out $2K so far, not counting the difference between APR rates of going with a new lender on this loan, including adding comprehensive coverage on a vehicle (at the direction of Shenaz at PenFed on 3/21) that can't even move right now because of varying stories one gets from varying PenFed employees after each call. At this point, it's becoming obvious this is a scam and not a legit credit union.
