Oysters are always fresh. The crab cakes are spectacular and as advertised over 93% crab meat. Our waiter was spot on, but not intrusive.

Seafood in the Midwest is often a questionable idea. However, this is one place I never give it a second thought. It’s a very basic interior with a café style dine in space along with a seafood counter for takeout. I recommend both!

The food is never disappointing at any of the Shucks locations! The Branzino was cooked in a wine lemoney sauce with cherry tomatoes. It was a very nice light meal that, while it didn’t include a lot of starch, left me satisfied and wanting to come back for more.Dungeness crab was cooked perfectly, sweet, meaty and succulent.

We wanted to have the fish and chips and was disappointed. The chips were the best part of the meal and fish was just ok. A bit dry. The worse part of the meal was the coleslaw. It tasted like it was old and smell soured. Worse coleslaw I ever tasted and I love coleslaw. I had an upset stomach all day. The waitress was very nice when I told her but nothing was done other than she said the cook said it was fine. We won't be going back for their dining anytime soon. I use to love this place.

I love Shuck's! So far of my 10 or so visits I have nothing bad to say at all, all of the people working, and the atmosphere are cool. The food is delicious, I suggest the Louisiana Gumbo it's so good!

When a person who does not like spicy foods asks if there is anything spicy about what they're ordering, the waiter should not say no when there are spicy foods. All I got was crab legs and it should have been safe, but the dirty rice was way too spicy for someone who hates spicy foods.

I ordered the lobster mushrooms. They were very dry and unflavorful. I didn’t really even taste the cheese. The wine was also $13 which is crazy. Overall wouldn’t come back.

I've been to their Shops of Legacy location near 168th & Center a few times, but I decided to stop in and try their original location here at 119th & Pacific. Originally just a seafood supplier (which is named Absolutely Fresh Seafood) they expanded to also be a restaurant and bar. The restaurant and bar area sort of flow into the seafood counter with just a slight partition. Overall, a neat atmosphere without any pretentiousness.I tried one of each of the available oysters. They were all excellent. More than anything else I've tried, nothing "tastes like the ocean" quite like a raw oyster. Seriously, for the fleeting moment you consume one your transported to the North Atlantic. They're not particularly filling nor are they the most attractive food, but they're just so good. If you've never had one then next time you're here order a single oyster (they start at like $2) and give it a try. I usually forgo all of the provided toppings (lemon, hot sauce, cocktail sauce, and horseradish) and enjoy them in all their natural yumminess.I had their Catfish Dinner for my entrée. The catfish was good and the batter/breading was excellent. So often the breading on fish is really bland, but this one was well-seasoned and I appreciate that. Fries were the standard frozen variety from the megacorp food supplier truck (*yawn*). The coleslaw I skipped because mayonnaise is man's most horrible invention.Service was very friendly and attentive.
