I had a photoshoot for my one-year-old's birthday in July, and unfortunately, I cannot give it a positive review. While the digital images were eventually received a week later, after multiple follow-up calls. I paid extra in cash for a standard 10x13 print, as their card machine was broken. I called them multiple times and was told they will have the issue taken care of, have the manager look at it. Unfortunately, despite my payment, I never received the print. This left me frustrated, as there was no way for me to dispute the charge given the cash transaction.

There is a reason why the staple stores... Sears, Wards, Brandeis, and Woolworth are no longer around. All one has to do is walk into Penny's and what is missing...customer service...quality merchandise and employees who wanted to work in retail.I went into Penny's to make a purchase... no one was around to direct me to the item I was looking for....so wore out some leather to find it... when I did... you got it... no one was around to offer assistance.I had a coupon, a 10 dollar one. As I went to the front, I was told the coupon was only worth 3 dollars. I did not purchase the product. The moral of this story is today's retail business's have lost their focus... the blame for their stores closing is how divergent they have become from the building blocks that made them great.

The photographer refused to take more than one picture of my toddler and of myself with my toddler but took dozens of pictures of my sister and her family because her children are school age and she isn't a single mom. Yet i got the same photos bundles as she did and paid for the photo session with my bundle. Maybe get less judgmental photographers because this was a horrible offensive visit and to treat us differently because I don't have a husband to bring along and the photographer didn't want to take pictures of my toddler even though they knew her age when i booked the photo session, shame on you Penny's and lifetouch.

I have been a customer of JC Penney for 50 years. My mother was also an avid customer. Today I went in this location to purchase some dress shoes for my grand-daughters. My 2 daughters, 2 grand-daughters, husband and future son-in- law in tow. This place is a ghost town. Gone are the days of the bustling store, friendly helpful staff. The shoe department was unmanned. The store was literally vacant. When we arrived at the front there was 3 people at the checkout. I had the unfortunate opportunity to be waited on by a woman named Jackie. She asked for my method of payment and I told her a credit card. She asked if I wanted to use my JC Penney card I told her no. I told her there was a 15 percent coupon on line and I proceeded to look for it on my phone. She then stated she had it and proceeded to lecture me in a very condescending manor on getting the app for JCPenney. She went as far as telling me to go to the App Store to get the app. I may have gray hair and be a senior citizen but I am not senile. I just made Jackie look up the 15 percent coupon and give it to without me having to look it up or get your app. I am a college educated person and predict with that kind of employee your chances of survival in the retail world are not favorable. It took me 6 months to come back into this store from my last visit. Probably won't shop her again, ever!

Overall, a bad experience. We've been using JCP portraits for over 8 years. We showed up Monday for our scheduled appointment, only to be told that the camera was not working and the system was down. Then we rescheduled for the next day, we ended up with a time slot during nap time... the photographer started 10 mins late and only took our photos for 20 minutes. We had a toddler that didn't understand what to do... and the photographer seemed pressed for time. I was less than impressed. I will find a different studio going forward.

We had Suzanne as our photographer, and she was amazing! Very kind and patient with my youngest, a toddler, in getting pictures done.

The photographer Marilisa is rude and has absolutely no care for her job or customers, she has a talent for brushing you off or ignoring you. The other worker, Ashley took our photos and it was her second time taking photos, she didn’t want to do it because she wasn’t confident taking photos but the main photographer didn’t want to do it either so we were stuck with a “photographer “ that had no idea what she was doing, had no directions whatsoever, the room was silent and filled with awkwardness. The photos were so bad that you’d think a 5 year old takes better photos. More than half of the finished pictures were all crooked and my baby could be seen with tears on her face or you can’t see her face at all. We were getting very frustrated with the process and it showed in the photos. To top it all off, she had the nerve to up-sell the beyond terrible photos to us. We never received our one picture because she didn’t put it in the order, I had to call corporate to get it. This place is a joke.DO NOT go here, it’s THAT bad. You’ve been warned.

The staff is amazing. Maralisa is so helpful and creative. She helps come up with great ideas in the session and while picking out photos. I can’t imagine the stress these photographers go through having back to back sessions. So many people don’t even realize it’s out of the staffs’ control to have limited time per session and to have so many sessions booked so closely together. That is part of the requirements coming from Lifetouch headquarters. I applaud the staff for being able to work so many families in and to have provided our family with such beautiful captured memories.

I feel like the process took too long. Our photographer was late, she had to help other customers, edited some pictures and then we were expected to pick them out. We were there from 10 am to 12pm.

We've gone here many times, but the last time was so sad. The studio was packed with customers, and there were only two employees running the show and only one functioning camera. That same working camera cut out mid session for us and we had to cut our baby's photo shoot short. Luckily our little grouch struck a few good poses.I would recommend to JC Penney to better staff their portrait center on the weekends with better working equipment so they don't have to cancel appointments of others. Those poor girls working that day, they were such champs given the circumstance.

I had a truly awful experience at this JCPenney Portrait Studio. ? My family & I prepped, planned, and spent so much money for the perfect outfits etc. just for the photo shoot. We went in and got some pictures of my son for Valentine's. He felt really uncomfortable and cranky the whole time. The photographer was so dull and bland. It was like she did not want to be there at all. She barely did anything to help. She was unenthusiastic. I was appalled when she recommended for us to come back another time. We were also supposed to get pictures with him & his dad with their military uniforms on. More customers walked in and to be mindful of their time, I told the photographer that we would come back another time since my son also needed his afternoon nap. The following Wednesday, I called and left them a voicemail asking them if we could come in just to see the pictures she did take. No one returned my call but I stopped by that day. The same girl told me she was too busy that day. When I told her I left a VM, she said "oh you did, sorry". So I tried to reschedule and she wanted me to come in 2 weeks later, just to look at our pictures. I verbally told her I just wanted to see our pictures and said the same thing left on their VM. Well on Saturday I called again and finally spoke to another lady who I assume is the manager. She was so helpful in trying to get a spot the same day for me to come in. Shortly after I get a call back from them and they told me the photographer DELETED ALL of the pictures. I was livid! I really don't understand why someone would do that. It really broke my heart that we didn't even get the chance to see our pictures. I really don't understand how someone could be so dense, waste my time, and not care at all. The manager was really nice & energetic. She tried to call me at least twice back but I never followed up with her because at that point, I really don't want to go through that experience ever again. I would give it 0 stars. I have a bitter taste from their organization & would never go back there again!

They booked our party of 18 several weeks in advance with no problem and then called the day before to tell us that they couldn't do more than 12 people in their studio. They said the girl who took the reservation didn't know and that the girl forgot to call us back when she found out. They cancelled our appointment with one day notice and part of my family was back in the States for the first time in two years for a short time only and all we got was an apology with no help or suggestions of what we could do to get our family pictures with a short notice appointment which we needed because they screwed up.Edit: they called back and did give us a suggestion of Portrait Innovations since they can seat up to 24 so bump up to 2 stars.
