About Panhandle Humane Society
Panhandle Humane Society is the local animal shelter for stray and surrendered cats and dogs. The staff are a great group of people who are very friendly, helpful, kind, patient, loving, and caring. They provide efficient and easy services with friendly smiles and faces in a great atmosphere. The shelter holds stray animals to allow time for owners to claim them and makes surrendered pets available for adoption. All animals are very well taken care of, up to date on vaccines, and spayed or neutered before adoption. The organization also partners with local vets for additional services. In 2023, they took in many stray and surrendered animals, successfully adopted out hundreds of cats and dogs, and returned many dogs to their owners. People are thankful for all that they do.

Great group of people. Our oldest wanted a new fur baby. He would go see her everyday, the group of people were always friendly and helpful. We welcome juilet to the family. Thank you for all that you guys do!!

Brought these 2 kitties home and couldn’t be more happy! They love one another and are thriving! Staff were super helpful, patient and friendly through out the entire adoption process. Thank you?
