You are better off walking!! Absolutely the worst customer experience I have ever had. I made a reservation on September 27th to pick up a car on October 5th. I call to ask how late I am able to pick up the rental and I am informed that they don't actually have any "Hertz" cars but only their company owned vehicles, and they don't offer unlimited miles on those. With that they also informed me that I made my reservation before a recent policy change took place and the price for the rental would be higher! What a crock! I explained that's not my problem I expect the rental for the agreed upon price! The lady, who claimed to be the manager named Alyssa told me that unless I paid the extra I wouldn't have a car AND THEN HUNG UP ON ME! I called corporate, they said since this is a franchise location they couldn't help and transferred me back to the scottsbluff location. I asked for the manager and that's when I was informed this Alyssa was the manager. So I asked for the owner of the franchise and was told he's in Kearney, N.E. and then she hung up again! I call the Kearney location where I was informed the owner was out of the office for the day but the lady on the phone was a sweetheart and got him to call me back. Unfortunately the owner Matt was less than helpful. Explained they typically don't do "out of town rentals" and the system should have not allowed me to make the reservation. I then asked if that's the case why would I not be informed of these shortcomings prior to the day of the rental? He claimed that they don't usually get the reservation till the day of. How in the world can you manage reservations like that? I was told they "would try and track down a car" waited for about 2 hours and gave up and had to cancel my entire work trip, making me look like a fool. If you need to rent a car and this is the only place available, I recommend saving your self the trouble and just walk!

Great service! The women there were very friendly, brought the car right up to the front for me and were quick. My husband and I will be renting again.

So I bumped up Scottsbluff Hertz this time. Flew in to Nebraska from Denver right after the recent blizzard which shut down the airlines and car rental for 3 days. When I picked up my car the manager drove it around to the front for me and it was warmed up and ready to go!

Cheyenne Hertz Airport car rental company added the LDW to be billed after the rental to my card without my knowledge. I told the rep 3 times I did not want this coverage. I had purchased travel insurance through Hotwire when I reserved the car. After changing the rental, due to my sisters impending death, I picked up the vehicle where I rented the at the Cheyenne where I declined the insurance. I was told to sign the keypad to accept the rental. Since this was prepaid there were to be no other charges as there always is as a gold member. The gentleman tried to upsell me on a Camaro rental and almost had me thinking it was only $25. I told him I could not afford that and showed him the insurance that I had purchased for this rental. Upon returning the rental almost a day early I was charged 431.34 from my bank. It has now overdrawn my account since I am barely making ends meet and this trip was saved for a year. I even was not given the make or size of vehicle requested and ended up spending extra in gas. The company has lied to me on several occasions and will not issue a credit. I am getting a lawyer on the case!
