Went in with my fiancé and two kids to get some groceries and everything was great.... Until we checked out. The Seward, NE location is our usual go-to and we've never had problems there before. One of the "managers" for the registers apparently chose us to hover over and keep looking through our stuff basically trying to imply we were trying to steal. She would not leave us alone when we gave her no reason to believe we were trying to steal anything. She even watched my fiancé scan our one gallon of milk we grabbed and asked us if that was the only one we had or if we'd somehow hid another one under the other groceries, and we didn't have a whole lot in the cart. The entire time she was rude and made it very clear she believed we were trying to steal things when we were just trying to buy food for our kids. I don't know if we just looked untrustworthy to her or what, but the whole experience was frustrating. We really wanted to ask her if we looked like thieves to her and if she wanted to scan everything for us, considering she's getting paid pretty well for customers to do her job for her. Self-checkout is honestly a joke. "Cashiers" get paid to stand around while customers do their job for them, and then they're usually nowhere to be found when you need them or they're rude and go through your stuff. Bring back actual cashiers or put the glorified babysitters to use somewhere they'll actually do some work instead of just standing around like we always see happening at this location.
