About Wheeler Peak Campground
Wheeler Peak Campground is considered one of the most beautiful campgrounds in the national park system. Located at 10,000 feet, it offers breathtaking scenery with stunning views of the surrounding pines and aspen. The campground is well-maintained, clean, and provides privacy, as the sites are spread apart. Each campsite features a picnic table, fire ring, and paved parking, with some sites near a creek, making it ideal for families. Restrooms are clean, stocked, and pit toilets are available. The campground’s close proximity to trailheads makes it easy for visitors to access hiking. Visitors enjoy the seclusion, gorgeous surroundings, and the opportunity to see amazing stars at night. It is advisable to plan ahead and reserve a spot, as walk-ins may not find availability. The most beautiful Campground in the national park system. The scenery is breathtaking, the campgrounds are spread apart to give everyone privacy, and the facilities are clean! Plus, trailheads are very close. Closes Sept 28 for the season.Restrooms: Clean, stocked.

What a wonderful campground at 10000 feet. Nestled amongst the pines and aspen this campground is super scenic. Each spot has a paves parking spot and a picnic table and fire ring.

This is another excellent campground located within Great Basin National Park. Here, we had spot number 18 for two nights. We liked the seclusion of this site, as we hardly noticed anyone else around us. The views in the campground are gorgeous, and you have easy access to all kinds of hiking trails.
