Visited 27 Feb 2025 for a quote to rebuild transmission on my ‘71 Ranchero. Said they would work up a quote and call me by Monday, 3 March. That was 10 days ago. Obviously don’t need my business. I will find a shop with more reliable customer service. I suggest you do the same.

I have a 2014 jeep charokee that I took in for service it turned out that I needed a transmission an a transfer case my car has an extended warranty Jacob an Carl spent hours on the phone with the warranty company and got my car fixed an back to me thank you for all the work an time you put in

Got a tow to the AAMCO on 50 in Carson City. Out of transmission fluid.Carl , Jacob and Gary got me fixed up and on the road with 15 mins to spare before 5. Cant say enough about these guys. While on the lift Gary noticed the shocks were worn out . Ordered and replaced. Thanks a ton guys from Chuck Jackie and Karma the dog, the canadians headed home from Mexico.

my 2006 Subaru was having what I thought was a transmission problem. I took it to them and it turned out to be an electronic issue that Karl figured out. He was able to fix it and got me back on the road. He did not upsell me or over price me. Very honest man and shop. Thank you Karl!

My transmission "slipped" when coming down 50 into Carson City. When I got into town, the dashboard lights were flashing and the car "lurched" when starting. This was on a Friday afternoon. The Subaru dealer was booked out over a week and said they couldn't even do the diagnostic until that Wednesday. We were supposed to leave Sunday. I called AAMCO and Carl said bring it in right away and we can look at it. He did an initial inspection and determined that a full diagnostic was required. He told me that the transmission was in a "failsafe" mode I later learned Subaru calls "limp mode". They did not have the time to do it since it is a two hour test and they don't work on weekends. I ended up dropping the car off Monday morning they looked at it right away and in a couple hours told me what was wrong, that they could fix it as soon as the part came in. They got the part late that day so had to finish the test drive on a Tuesday. I picked it up on Tuesday morning and drove it over 200 miles, some through mountains, back home. I want to thank Carl for the excellent service. The car was even parked in the shade when I went to pick it up. It was a valve body issue and was expensive, but probably not as expensive as it would have been at the dealer (if they even could have gotten me in). Grateful for Carl and the crew at AAMCO!

I called them and Carl answered and was more than helpful with getting me in on my timeframe and said they can get right on it to get me back on the road. He called the NEXT DAY letting me know what had happen and total pricing was upfront. He said he could order the parts and have it ready before the weekend which was the new day again! They came thru for me and even went over a few toher things the car will need in the future but didn't upsell me on anything! Gary was there and even stayed a bit late so I could pick up the car on a Friday. Thank you so much for getting my car back so quickly! HIGHLY recommend them !!Service: Transmission
