My husband and I opened an account with them after the have us our loans for our vehicles. We left a credit union that didn't care about their members. This AFCU is amazing. They make you feel like you actually matter and they listen and try to help anyway they can. The only downside is side is that their ATMs need to be updated. They are very slow and has a hard time make deposits.

If I could give 0 starts I would, I’ve had my car loan with this bank for about 4 years now and they’ve made it super hard to pay online, I’ve had to call every time to make a payment and pay $8 fee every single time. I’ve called to get help on making payments online and no one ever knows what I’m talking about or know how to help. Never again will I get any type of loan with this bank.

America First underwrote my SBA loan. As part of the agreement, I had to set up my business checking with them. It took me over 30 days to get my business credit card (3 phone calls and emails); It took me 2.5 weeks (emails, faxes, 2 branch visits) to set up bill pay. Every time I Zelle, they “suspend” my profile and it entails a 30 minute phone call. Lastly, I set up auto pay for my SBA loan and they didn’t deduct the first loan payment from my business checking account (1 50-minute phone call). I’m sure they are a fine organization for personal banking. They are absolutely horrendous as it relates to business accounts (loans, checking and credit cards).

Avoid for car loans, these guys will double charge your car payments then won’t even reverse the payment so all the fees that were charged will be reversed too, no they put it into a savings account and tell you to go find a bank to take it out of. If you really like paying fees for absolutely everything then this is the place for you but I would avoid breathing cause they will likely find a way to charge you for that too. Wish I had never refinanced cause I’m now paying way more than I was with my original loan.Update…still trying to get my money back…now they want to charge me a fee to get the car payment that shouldn’t have been taken back…only 2 weeks with a double car payment out of my account…so far…if I could give negative stars I would…

I had a car loan through them for a used car. The vehicle was totalled and my insurance company paid them their money.( in 2019) now in 2023, not because they made any effort to contact me, I found them on my Experian credit report. Now they are ruining my credit rating and believe they have the right to until 2025. You received your money and now are double dipping. I live in a completely other country and have since 2020. Your facts are all incorrect obviously as well as your double dipping scam. I will be reporting you to the attorney general of ARizona. Beware of these SCAM ARTISTS. THEY BELIEVE THEY CAN DOUBLE DIP POST ACCIDENT WRITE OFF MEANING GET PAID FROM MY INSURANCE COMPANY AND NOW MYSELF. DO NOT USE THEM.!!!IF YOU GET PAID OFF DUE TO A HORRIBLE ACCIDENT, You do not get to keep trying to charge the person for the original loan of 84 months. CLEARLY NOT GOID BUSINESS. GO ELSEWHERE!!

They were again so NOT candid with me and their disrespect to me as a customer was so palpable I was choking on it. America First Credit Union again mailed me soliciting my business. We again researched them, and thoroughly read their website. I again went to open a new savings account only. I again told the clerk that I did not want a credit card nor I did not want to open up a loan.According to Experian, one of the three credit bureaus, banks and credit unions DON'T check your credit score when opening only a savings account. They instead run a ChexSystems report. ChexSystems is a soft credit inquiry that legitimate financial institutions use to verify no fraud. A ChexSystems report aka soft credit inquiry has no direct impact on your credit score, while a hard credit inquiry has an adverse effect on your credit score.A hard credit inquiry is NOT what legitimate financial institutions do to only open up a savings account.Cybercriminals are constantly coming up with new ways to access databases loaded with sensitive information they can sell on the dark web and/or use for future attacks.2014, some 20,000 debit cards from America First Credit Union were accessed in a security breach.2020, America First Credit Union customers complained they recently had money withdrawn from their account without their knowledge or consent.Yahoo! Data Breach 2013 - 2016 involved a staggering 3 billion user accounts.2019 started with a massive data breach when so-called Collection #1 database surfaced in mid-January. It contained colossal number of sensitive details - 773 million unique email addresses and more than 21 million passwords.First American Financial Corp exposed 885 million extremely sensitive records records in 2019.Equifax Data Breach of 2017 exposed 605 million extremely sensitive records of 147 million people. Facebook collects and stores enormous amounts of data and tends to spill a lot of it, quite frequently. Cambridge Analytica scandal of 2016, was the personal information of 87 million US voters. Of its data breaches of 2019, two were uncovered within a month of CEO Mark Zuckerberg's announcement of Facebook plans to "pivot to privacy" in March 2019. Facebook and Instagram passwords of millions of users, dating back to 2012, were left unencrypted on company servers and accessible to 20,000 Facebook employees. Another involved two third-party app developers, Cultura Colectiva and At the Pool, and 540 million records.Data breaches of customer private information are from employees or hackers. The result is identity theft and fraud. So, I've taken the advice of the three credit bureaus and several consumer groups, and have my credit at all three credit bureaus frozen. Security freezes generally only prevent hard inquiries in response to an application for credit and your credit reports cannot be accessed (with some exceptions) to open new credit unless you temporarily lift or permanently remove the credit freeze. A federal law that went into effect in September 2018 made placing, temporarily lifting, or permanently removing a security freeze free nationwide. Placing a security freeze on your credit reports does not impact your credit scores in any way. It also doesn't prevent you from getting free copies of your credit reports every 12 months from each of the three nationwide credit bureaus through annualcreditreport.com. While a security freeze can help protect you by preventing certain access to your credit reports if someone attempts to open a new credit account in your name, it can't help protect you against other forms of fraud, such as a stolen credit card number. It's still important to check your credit card and bank statements for suspicious activity. America First Credit Union then said it had to run my credit aka do a hard credit inquiry to open up only a savings account. A hard credit inquiry is part of the "new credit" category of the FICO scoring model and has an adverse effect on your credit score.Beware, for no where on their web site or their advertising i

Credit unions are always better than setting up checking and savings accounts. America first has low interest rates and friendly staffing been banking there for years and they're opening up a new location in Sparks coming soon ?? holla

The staff are professional and nice. The credit union is very easy to work with. Our loan was approved quickly and they called me right away to.let us know our home renovation was funded. I am closing my wells fargo accounts and giving America First all of my business. Just a note, we had 3 car loans through this credit union a few years ago and they were just as easy to work with. We were excited to see the Carson City branch open.

I'm amazed to see the negative reviews. My experience has been very different. From my 7% Visa card to getting a loan on a basic 1971 Camaro (15 years ago, before they became "hot"). A typical bank won't give you a loan on a 25+ year old car unless there's something special about it (for example a restored Shelby Cobra Mustang, etc.). My 25 year old son got a 3.5% loan on a 10 year old Toyota. And by the way, he works 30 hours a week, not full time. At the end of the day, AFCU is truly the best bank I've ever used.

The worst financial institution to get a loan from. No one is on the same page. You get incorrect info, they give you the run around. Its absolutely ridiculous. They make the process much harder than it should be. Unfortunately we decided to give them a shot and instantly regretted doing so. Theres much better credit unions in town that give you way better service.
