The typical bank transaction of cashing a check was a surprise. I was advised by the bank teller that they could no longer just cash my checks! They told me that the check must be deposited unless I have the funds to cover the check. For many years I have been able to simply cash my check and not deposit it into my account. This must be a way for the IRS and the government to know what funds you have. Big Brother is watching!

Well they are now in their refurbished building, but obviously forgot to refurbish their customer service skills. This bank seems to be filled with the most inattentive staff that could be found. Working online is just as bad unfortunately. This branch decided to put a notice of hold on a government issued paycheck stating that they did not think it would fund. I know our government has it's downfalls, but really? Now that I have direct deposit set up, they decided to hold the funds again? Bank of America, if you need to borrow my full amount of money to make more on the interest just let me know. Don't hold the money that I use for everyday life... I should have stuck with Wells Fargo. All I had to deal with there was a crappy demeanor rather than the all around crappy service.

Not helpful not one bit. Once my money is deposited to my account. I am go to a credit union. Enough is enough with Bank of America. Their customer service 800 number was more helpful than this branch. The date the teller told me were different from the ATM deposit and 800 number. Branch manager was to lazy to talk to a customer.
