My wife and I have had Best Buy In Home Insurance fojr the past 3 years. I have been trying for the past 6 weeks to get them to come out and fix my computer(which I bought from Best Buy 18 months ago). So far counting this morning they have now cancelled both our in home appointments to fix my computer but also to install a brand new computer my wife just bought. I will never ever reccommend the Geek Squad for iI home service. Do not buy there Geek Sqd In home Insurance. It is a complete waste of money. The disrepsect they show you is unbelievable.

What a shame, former great company a pitiful shadow of what it once was. Spent $2K on a laptop and warranty, computer broke, Geek Squad lied about where it went to get fixed and the only customer service "agent" was straight outa New Deli. Couldn't understand a word. Store manager fails to return calls for help. A putrid display of business practices, they do not care about the people that keep their doors open. I hope they go the way of Radio Shack.

This is about their warranty policy and repair service,no reflection of the store or their employees.Purchased a gaming laptop last Jan, and I also purchased $200 total protection policy to go w it. Laptop breaks,it won't connect to internet,I take it in,they send it to their repair center in Kentucky and I get it a few weeks later,no charge, yea! also not fixed! They updated, nothing else,I kept calling 1800 geek squad and couldn't get a person on the phone who knew anything ,lots of sorries and silence ,worst call center ever.Today I take laptop in person to local store and they were all nice guys, and helpful. I'm told my option now is buy the part and pay them to fix it, or buy another year warranty at $200 A YEAR,SEEING HOW THE LAST ONE WAS COMPLETELY USELESS AND A COMPLETE RIP OFF, I'M LOST AT WHAT TO DO!Except go to Costco from now on and not deal with this. Also,I keep asking for corporate numbers for complaints and keep getting the same people, the silent ones who are no help at all. I've never returned any products ,I've never been rude or mean,it's just wrong .They sold me a product and said the total coverage covers everything. It does not, don't fall for it! And no guarantee they'll actually fix it

Thank you for your courteous staff, they have been nothing more than helpful and patient with my concerns and questions on the items I purchased within the last month altogether. I have alot of confidence in their expertise.

They have all the things I would want and need, but the customer service was horrible. There was a saving grace in all of this. A young man named Christian went out of his way to help me and another customer. He was awesome and very knowledgeable. Best Buy is lucky to have him working there because I was about to leave. I hope this kid is appreciated by management because they need more like him.

I walked in. Nobody knew what I wanted. A guy was listening and knew exactly what I wanted, where it was and what else they had like it. He then took me to the front and checked me out, making sure I had warranty coverage.

Purchased a new StarLink kit on Friday, went to set it up on Sunday and although it worked, I couldn’t sign in as that kit was “already associated with another account”. Perhaps the kit was a floor model, Geek Squad Demo unit or a return, being assigned to someone’s account right out of the box kind of implies it used.Calling the 1-800 number to Best Buy to “release” the unit so it could be associated to my account was a two hour journey to nowhere. The chat bot was beyond useless and because of all the above, I got to drive 96 miles back to Carson City to exchange the unit. For the aforementioned issues, I’d give Best Buy zero stars but it doesn’t end there.Upon returning to the store, explaining the issue (with pictures of the registration screen), the clerk apologized and grabbed another unit and encouraged me to register/activate the unit in the store, open the box and verify condition to prevent a future misfire. I thought the way he handled it was perfect. Corporate Best Buy could learn a thing or two. And for how that employee at Carson City Best Buy handled the situation, I’d give them 5 stars.
