Ron is the best. He was able to diagnose and fix what was wrong with my Ram 2500 (front drive shaft replacement). He was very responsive and is a very nice person in general.
He runs a very reputable business.
Truck runs great. I would not hesitate to go back to Ron for any future repairs needed.

Ron was very helpful in getting my sale executed almost completely online. I was pleasantly surprised how easy he made it and stayed in communication through the whole process. I went here to purchase a ford explorer they had for sale. The Owner told me that all needed repairs were made and the vehicle was ready to go. My partner and I took it for a test drive and within a few minutes the check engine light came on. When we returned and told the owner, he then changed his story and said that the a/c needed work and a few other items… we decided to not buy the vehicle due to the owner not being straight forward and honest. Beware..

This is a long over-due review. I purchased a Porsche Panamera from Ron. Let me say, he loved this vehicle and was sad to let it go. Seeing he owned a few Porsches himself and in his garage he had an evo getting some work done, he knows his cars. Ron has always been there; even 6 months after the purchase, to help me out whenever needed. I recently moved here from Texas to Reno and was looking for a second vehicle that was more economical than my lifted duramax but still fun to drive. You won’t find another caring and car-passionate guy out there selling cars. Don’t be afraid to ask questions about the vehicle you are looking to buy, he will answer all questions you have. To me this is how car buying should be. Thank you Ron.

Had a great experience with Ron. He helped get us into an affordable car that was in good mechanical shape, and he even got it smogged for us! I would highly recommend this place. Ron is a decent guy who will work with you. And he also has a shop!

I was coming here to get my first car on a budget and the customer service was absolutely amazing. The cars are all priced well great on your first budget buy, you can test drive a car to see how it feels, the cars all good mileage and worth every dime. One thing I can recommend is to bring cash or a check book to make things faster for everyone. Overall, great shop with super helpful, and very kind business owner. The owner Ron and his son had portrayed great customer service the minute i walked in the door. Friendly, helpful and easygoing...I had checked several other places for a decent vehicle before seeing them; nothing worked out. Luckily all their stock on hand ran very well, had very clean interiors, and very few issues.Ron even took time out of his lunch break to assist us in checking the vehicles and letting us test drive them. By far my best experience dealing with a used car purchase, ever.I highly recommend and praise this small family run business. They dont have the size or quantity that most bigger dealers do, but what they lack in size, they make up for in quality and great customer service.Thanks again guys, much appreciated.

As most of the reviews say Ron, seems like a nice "honest" guy, I saw a truck he was selling on Craigslist, & I went to his place the next day to test drive the truck. The truck looks good, & now having read some of the previous reviews, this truck suffers from some of the ailments as others stated, like the A/C didn't work, along with the inop power mirrors. But because I'd been looking for quite some time for a reasonable truck for an even better price I bought the vehicle.
I had my own financing so I didn't have to worry about using some other lender. My buddy (who's looking for a vehicle for his son) drove the truck to Reno. Once home I took over with driving. Filled the tank w/fuel & had dinner with my friend. The next morning I try to start the truck & the battery is dead. So I have to go buy a new battery. I texted Ron to let him know about the problem, he promised to send me a gift card to offset the cost of the new battery.
I also remember him telling us about the "safety" check he does on "all" his vehicles, but I would think a battery would be on that list.
Anyway, I always planned on buying new tires for the truck so when I get the new tires & want to have the best old tire put on the spare, I find out there is no spare. I guess that was missed in the safety inspection too. I suppose I should have looked but because Ron, seemed so "honest" I didn't think about checking for such a thing. The next day I text Ron, letting him know about the missing spare. He ghosts me. When I finally get the paperwork so I can register the vehicle, he sends the promised gift card.
The weird thing about the card was how worn it looked, almost like it was previously used. I went to the Autozone website to check the balance of the card, but kept getting error messages from the site. So today I physically went to Autozone to see what the balance was & low & behold I find out it was only $7.00, not even 10% of the cost for the battery.
No where is $7.00 even close to of off setting the cost of a new battery.
So with his ghosting of me about the spare & this "gift card" debockle, it was the last straw. So I decided to review Carson Auto Sales.
Sure Ron is nice, but he's obviously just a small office car salesman, & he upholds the typical car salesman stereo types. He'll tell you anything to make the sale hiding his greed & distaine for honesty. He's not to be fully trusted. Take what he tells you with a grain of salt.
His "safety inspections" are a joke. If you buy a vehicle from him have a trusted mechanic who will do a real inspection or know what to look for when buying a vehicle.
I know my friend won't be buy his son's car from Carson Auto Sales, & I'm going to let everyone I know who's looking to buy a car to avoid CAS.
Shame on you Ron, for your dishonesty & poor after sale customer service.

I just bought my very first pickup from Ron there at Carson Auto Sales! Let me tell you, he is a very fair and honest sales person. Ron went above and beyond in making sure that the 2003 Ford Ranger that he just sold me met my needs. He sells quality vehicles at a fair and competitive price. My family and I met a friend with Ron and I will definitely be coming back to purchase another vehicle from him for one of the kids! Don’t hesitate in shopping and buying at Carson Auto Sales; you won’t be disappointed!
