My daughter and I came into this store earlier this month because she saw chicken related items. I abided because we had time to browse. She accidentally broke something that was a dollar and we went home, brought a dollar from her savings and went to pay and explained what she was paying for. The cashier politely turned down the cash offering and explained that being honest pays. I am aware of the activities FISH does in the rural Nevada community, and the store workers do a good job reflecting FISH'S values.

During such desperate times, but you would think that their employees would know the basic rules of service at this particular food bank. I was in the FISH food bank 2× during the last 30 days, and everything was fine. No questions asked.(shouldn't there be signs posted. Their website says food once every 10 days. Each time I asked whoever was helping me, how often may I receive food? Each response was the same once(1)/week. One female employee even checked for a code at the top of my receipt and verified to me that I was allowed to receive food once a week. So, on Monday(02/19/2024, I called the FISH office to see if they were open bc of the President Day holiday. They were open, so I went down to pick up food. When I arrived and showed my ID for the food grant, I was told that I couldn't receive food again until March 9th '24. (3) three week wait. When I asked the 2 receptionists what happened, they didn't have an answer. Just tried to send me away to another food bank. It's not a big company. Their own employees should not be telling anyone things that are not true. With the icy cold roads and wintery weather, it's pretty outrageous to waste that much time and then be turned away without ANY reasonable explanation. It actually looked like the woman behind the glass took my ID and was hiding it under her desk but before I could say anything 2 other women show up and started asking me questions. The woman holding my ID must have pressed a panic button under her desk. Keep in mind, this is food bank and there was no emergency, robbery, or assault in progress. Very weird, but less than 5 minutes after I posted this review I get a response from their manager. I can't imagine a manager of a food bank waiting by his computer for a review on Yelp. Someone should rename this town tweekertown, USA. Something fishy going on at FISH. investigation ongoing.

They prices have become pretty ridiculous. Five dollar wine glasses and 300$ hutches. Especially crazy for items that are DONATED.

There is a lot to choose from and a big variety of just about anything. However, the price on some of the furniture is the highest I've seen compared to other local thrift stores. Other than that it's a nice place

Between the thrift store, the social counselors in the office and the food pantry. And oh my goodness the bread such a wide collections and varieties of bread to choose from and donuts and milk. And it's an everyday thing you know seven and the meals there at the kitchen. The dinner meals outstanding. I haven't been there for 8 years. Oh pardon me. It's been almost 12 years. Anyway, my name is Fred Garcia and I just want to give it a gazillion stars. Yes, always there to help friends in need serving and helping with love and care and Bruce Henderson Bruce Henderson would have fantastic man and I hope you still around and serving and some type of capacity?⚡⚡????????
