Outstanding shop! Gene and Theresa are great people. Did a suspension job on my son’s Tacoma. Pricing was fair and wound up being a little less than original estimate. Very happy and highly recommend!!

Thank you to this local, family owned business. Excellent work on my car. They are fair. They helped me through a difficult issue with previous repairs from a dishonest repair shop in Carson City. They were willing to talk, and explain and didn’t rush me through it. Almost unheard of these days. This kind of customer service goes a long way!

I've been a back yard mechanic, for over 50 years, and usually do my own repairs. My car wouldn't start (no fuel pressure) I assumed it was the fuel pump, and we all know what happens when you assume (you make an a** out of u & me) weather prevented a repair at home, and it took several days before a tow truck was able to get the car over to Gene, at GTM Auto Repair.Gene was able to diagnose the problem, a frozen fuel line due to moisture in the fuel. Saving a lot of work and $600 on the repair. If you want an honest knowledgeable mechanic to do your work, I highly recommend Gene and his crew at GTM Auto Repair.

Excellent mechanic who is punctual, detailed oriented, and most of all, honest. I am dismayed however to hear he gave up his Mobil Automobile Service, which I have used on several locations as well as his shop.I recently called and asked him to come to my house because i was confused by a wiring diagram for my coil block. He said that he gave up the mobil practice but emailed me the wiring diagram and spark plug locations for my car. I felt he went beyond his call of duty but I really appreciated his assistance. I was able to get my car running due to this assistance.Thank you Gene for everything and for you readers looking for a top-rate mechanic as well as a person, make Gene our first stop. You won't have any regrets.

When I bought my Subaru on craigslist, I had no idea the former owner had installed the wrong size brake rotors, leading to caliper damage that left my car stranded in my driveway. I continue to be impressed with GT Auto Repair, and the owner, Gene. He just worked on a "new to me" used car that I recently purchased. It was certified used a year ago, at a dealership. Gene answered my questions about what was good to buy/no buy, when I was shopping. I purchased this car from it's 2nd owner, out-of-state. Gene poked and prodded, and told me what service intervals appear to have been done, and which were not. He was very honest in the few things that needed to be serviced, and what was fine to drive as is. A repair shop near the seller said I needed non-trivial work to the front suspension. Although I am not a mechanic, my research told me that the shop in the other state was not accurate. Gene took a look, and said, "What I see is very normal on your front suspension, you are good to go, leave it as it is." The car drives great. I plan to keep this car a long time, with GT as my main mechanic man!
