I normally hand in my mail directly to the clerk just because I personally prefer it over the self service for peace of mind but I don’t appreciate being gawked at like it’s an “are you serious” moment which never happened before. Just take my mail and do your job with professionalism.

If you ever need immediate help from this post office don’t bother trying to call :) unlike my lovely local post office there is no way you’ll ever get an answer. My package that’s being sent back to me from here with overnight shipping has been sitting here for days and not shipped out to CALIFORNIA which is one state over and with regular mail should take max 3 days… with overnight shipping it should take.. I believe… 1 day. What a joke.

1st, employees at both Carson city post offices are friendly and helpful. But my worse gripe is the way changing your address works. Takes too long to get your mail transferred or you don’t get it at all, esp using a PO Box til you get a new physical address. Then you have to start all over again with change of address form & more time is wasted & you could be missing out on important mail

Just drop my packages off at the front door! Not that hard. Instead they make me drive 20 minutes and wait in line for another 20 minutes when every single other carrier has no issues dropping off packages. Short staffed disaster over there

I purchased a slide for a 1911 COLT. It was supposed to be delivered on 10 Aug. The postal person attempted to deliver the item, but got no answer to my doorbell. She left a notice stating I could pick the item up at the post office on the 12th. The people at the post office couldn’t find the item, and nobody seems to know what happened to it. Getting information from these people is like pulling teeth, no body knows anything. The loss of this slide will cost me about $4000. My suggestion is, use FEDEX, or UPS, but not USPS.

Yet again, checked tracking on a package & it said it arrived in Carson City early am. Then shows out for delivery. Watched the mail person deliver mail - no package. There is no way to call. Website inquiry does not work. What is going on with the mail delivery!!!! Don’t want to hear “it is hard to find good people”! Very frustrated!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you need to be fingerprinted for a FBI background check, save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. I went here and was told I needed an appointment (according to the website, I don’t). When someone finally came to take my prints, I tried to give them my FBI order confirmation number which I was told to bring, and they said they don’t need it (they do). They didn’t check any form of ID like they should have, didn’t charge me $50 like they were supposed to, and didn’t give me any sort of receipt or confirmation. It took them twenty minutes to even figure out how to use the fingerprinting machine since apparently no one had ever been trained on it. It’s now been a week and a half and the FBI still hasn’t received my fingerprints, can’t do anything without the USPS confirmation number they never gave me, and the USPS won’t answer the phone number they told me to call if I had issues. I drove an hour to get to this location for fingerprinting and now am going to have to drive two hours to a different one because they didn’t do anything properly.

Delivered to wrong address, 15 phone calls and 3 in-person attempts to correct the issue. On top of it all, late and Damaged. DENIED my Claim. I shipped 8 packages with them, many were damaged. NOT worth the Extra money in insurance. Not worth the headache, poor support, and even worse processes they hide behind. Workers know it, they think its normal and joke about it. Remember, You are the joke here. Wether the employee is 'helpless' or not. Every time you give them your money for work and service... and you hear "I can't" because XYZ, you fostered it. Don't support poor bullied processes and lack of empowerment for the employee or customer. A full circle, YoY cycle of failure from USPS, yet again. When will I ever learn to stop falling for this, and supporting this mentality.

Short Staffed, Long Lines, Some employees spend a lot of time Chit Chatting, Guy Standing in line Whistling to grab my attention wielding multiple knives one red the other black. He would switch them out and was playing with it. He was wearing sunglasses like a coward so if he or anyone else affiliated with him attempted anything I couldn't Identify him. He was trying to instill fear and this took place inside the post office.

Our mail has been dropped off at other addresses for the the last few weeks. And are receiving other people's mail? Now I have a package missing and no one is answering the phone at the main office?
