Had a rental reserved and pre checked in online. Came to counter where person was 20 min late and then told us they were sold out and we would have to wait up to 3 hours. Do not rent from here.

We rented a car on 10/06/2024 and we paid a $500 deposit which we never got back. No response to email, no response to calls. Worst car rental company ever.

Out of cars? Wait, what? We had a reservation! Not only did they not care, we were told we had to go online ourselves and cancel our own reservation. This is not want you want to hear at 11pm after your flight. Luckily we were able to get a car at Hertz. Never again Dollar. Avoid.

Awful experience here. Xenophobic employees, he listened to us speaking Spanish. We reserved a car to go to the canyon, even got the reservations and tickets to enter there. When we got to the desk at treasure island in Las Vegas they said they didn’t have any cars available, even tho we made a reservation, the guy at the desk said the website allows to make reservations even tho there is no cars available and that’s it. It’s their responsibility to have the cars if they allow you to book!!! Awful how they waste your time while you are in vacations

We reserved a car for 8:00 am. To be picked up at Treasure Island. When we got there, they said they didn't have any cars. They said we could go to the airport, if we wanted a car. That wasn't an option because we had a timed reservation for Red Rock Canyon. No time to make new plans. The guy at the desk didn't seem to know anything and wasn't interested in our plight. I think this must happen every day. I finally found an email for customer service. They said they would refund my deposit. I haven't seen it yet. If it matters that you get a car, I would suggest finding another option. There were several people after me that had the same experience. I will know better than to rely on a rental car company at a hotel when I have a timely appointment. I guess the bottom line is that it doesn't see like a reservation means anything to Dollar Car Rental.

Charged over a $100 more by needing to do the reservation in person after the online reservation was messed up. Can't seem to get a hold of anyone to make it right. Horrible experience and when traveling with kids and not being sure about getting a vehicle was holding us hostage to whatever they decided. Do not recommend it at all.

I feel like there are hidden fees. They don’t let the spouse drive the car without an extra fee. They indicated you could pick ur car and not have to go to the counter but that wasn’t working. Lastly and our biggest complaint is that the return process at Treasurer Island resort was not marked and not explained and there was no one in the garage to explain. We had to make our way into the resort hoping to find a dollar desk. We did find it and it closed at 4 and did provide the directions. So we had to go back to the garage and drop the key in a drop box on a different floor. Not sure why those directions were not posted in the garage. It would have made it a loss less confusing and frustrating. The car we rented was cool. Glad that we got what we paid for.

Terrible experience. I reserved a car for April 20, when I got to rental location, I was told that my car was not ready. I waited 2 hours to have my car. I returned the car as indicated with a full tank; however, I was charged $143.10 for gas. I returned to the location to review charges and the person at the desk didn’t not want to help me. She was extremely rude. I filled out an online request but I haven’t received any response from dollar.
