“After breakfast at McAdoo's I stopped by Rolling Rock, expecting it would be filled with cutesy country crafts and tourist garbage. Instead I was pleasantly surprised to find fossils, minerals and best of all a wide selection of eclectic sciency toys, like plastic organs in a tube and plushie infectious bacteria and vectors. I came away with a plastic badger, vintage anatomy poster and a brain ice cube tray, score!”

“This museum is an absolute must-see, especially if you’re fascinated by taxidermy ??✨. The collection here is truly impressive, featuring preserved animals from all over the world. You can explore sections dedicated specifically to Nevada wildlife, broader North American species, as well as animals from Africa, the Arctic, and beyond ?❄️?.
What really amazed me was the variety and detail in each display — it feels like walking through different continents all in one place. One standout exhibit is a crocodile that was hunted in Egypt and later transported across the globe to become part of this museum’s collection ??. That alone tells you how unique some of these pieces are.
If you have any interest in wildlife, history, or natural displays, this place is definitely worth your time. It’s educational, eye-opening, and unlike anything you see every day ??.”
