⭐ 1-Star Review – Jackson Group Peterbilt of Elko
Worst place to take your truck, hands down. They beat around the bush the entire time and never give you a straight answer. Zack constantly told me, “uh, we don’t know what’s wrong with it yet” even after I showed him exactly what the issue was. It was the gear box — I told him that from the start — and he still never ordered it. He even lied and said it had been ordered.
My truck sat there for three weeks for a steering issue, and they still didn’t fix a thing. They kept telling me they were “looking for the issue,” but there was zero progress.
They also charged my company $500 for a full inspection and didn’t inspect anything. All of my tires were below 80 PSI — how does a “full inspection” miss that? My air gauges were cutting off unevenly (first tank at 130 PSI, second at 150 PSI) and they didn’t catch that either. One of my drive axle tires was even off the bead, and they still didn’t notice.
When I finally picked up the truck, the gear box was making noise and was hot almost immediately after leaving the lot — proving they never fixed the actual problem.
DO NOT RECOMMEND bringing your truck here, especially if you want honest communication, real work done, or to be in and out in a reasonable amount of time.
I ended up getting both of my trucks and trailer then took them down to Kenworth which has had better communication with me.

I was loaded with livestock and lost my belt coming through Carlin NV. Called Silver State Truck & Equipment they told me to call these guy and they showed up within an hr. Got me back on the road in no time. Thanks Dave much appreciated

Needed a repair done that would’ve take maybe half hour . They told me no . I guess you gotta spend several thousand dollars before they get you in .

Was towed December 31st from Wells to Elko with broken turbo charger. Spoke with service...They said will do January 2nd late afternoon. In the morning came to the service. They found tech for me in the morning. I was surprised,in 2 hours my truck was DONE!!! JEFF did terrific job!!! Thank you so much!!! I feel bad, don't remember service advisor name, could be Jack...very thankful for help!!!

So I broke down in wells, and got towed in to Elko, called peterbilt and jack the mechanic talked to me, first he was recommended by the owner of the tow company which was atlas out of Elko, mind you it was Friday afternoon jack got to my truck and ran a diagnostic, in less than an hour he found the problem, unfortunately they didn’t have an ECM, jack was really helpful and very knowledgeable. I got a ECM out of Salt Lake City on Saturday morning, jack said if you get it I will be here to install it and get me going, and that’s what happened, even though peterbilt is not open on Saturday or Sunday, jack went out of the way to get me back on the road, highly recommended A++service, thanks
