Had dinner at Evah's this evening. We were seated promptly; the service went downhill from there.. . Wife & I ordered a Caesar salad, baked lasagna, a glass of red wine & a beer. The romaine lettuce was very fresh, yet somewhat over-dosed with dressing. The lasagna was good, hot, but rather salty to our tastes. The wine & beer never arrived.. . The waitress never did stop by our table to check on our order…as she was in an adjoining room waiting on other tables. As we were finishing our dinner, she quickly dropped off our check and disappeared. I opened the folder containing “our check”. Inside was a check for $24.70 (for nothing we had ordered) and $30 cash…obviously payment by another party. We waited for about 10 minutes for the waitress to reappear so that we could get our correct check. There was no other cashier or payment arrangement available. She did not reappear.. . We left the “check” containing the $30 untouched as delivered; I calculated the cost of our food including tax to be about $30, I put an additional $30 cash on the table and we walked out.. . I hate to do that, but enough is enough.

Food was good filling conventional Italian, great winter food. We had mixed service, the order taker didn't know the beer options, and one of our orders was served 10 minutes after another identical order

4 minutes from being seated to menu & drinks. 14 minutes from ordering to food on table. (Sunday Lunch) French Dip included salad or fries. Greens were very fresh, croutons home made. Bun was not very dense but held together well enough after dunking in aus jus, which had nice flavor. Chicken Strips also included salad or fries. Chicken was fresh out of a Sysco box into the frier. (Disappointing) Fries were crispy and nice flavor. Atmosphere of the upper floor of cafe was nice overlooking the gambling and pool area of the hotel. Will repeat in future and have added to list of places to eat in Ely.

It's good food however watch ur bill, everytime I have gone I have to ask them to fix prices, cause they over charge me everytime, the smallest piece of cheesecake 8.95, they r overpriced on most items. It's very smokey walking in, they need better ventilation for air quality.

Good food and good service.

amazing pasta! as other reviews have stated, the mac and cheese is great. i recommend the cheddar jalapeño poppers & the lasagna bisque.

The pizza was alright, as was the service, but the atmosphere (both literally and figuratively) caters best to those who can't get enough of the smoky depressing ambiance of a "casino" that only has slot machines. The dining area overlooks the casino floor and shares the same unfiltered air.

They don't have a big menu but the food is good.

The food is great and a lot of it.

Only ate here once. But the food is great. The service is quick, and the view is excellent

Nice quaint place. Friendly staff and nice ambiance. Nice change coming from Las Vegas.

My aunt loves this place and eats there every time she is in town!

It is right in the casino but upstairs. The seating is adequate and the slot floor below is really not much of a distraction. At least when I was there it was not real busy. The food was good and service also.

The pizza was good. Not the fastest service as the wait time was a little long. There were two tables of 8 ahead of me but I had to wait 45 minutes for my pizza to go. But everyone was friendly.

Ely’s overall not-bothering-to-try customer service had become legendary after some friends spent a couple weeks there on a fire assignment. Even though I was expecting it, Evah’s still shocked me. I have never walked into a restaurant, been looked at directly by the one person working the front, and been totally unacknowledged. He was talking on a cell phone and shifting around dishes from a single table, while we waited within sight for five minutes. Also it reeked of cigarette smoke.

This is an Italian restaurant inside the Ramada Hotel in Ely, Nevada. It is on the second floor and open to the casino below where smoking is allowed. If you don’t like smoke or have allergies, this is not the place for you. They have wait staff that are friendly but not outstanding. Children are allowed here. Food is good but again nothing outstanding. The service is slow.

Service was rough as we waited over an hour for our food... The staff was very friendly though and maintained good communication. We were not in a hurry so it didn't bother us to wait; maybe just a rough night. The food was fantastic!!! The tri tip sandwich was so delicious and will be back for more. Well worth the food.

Ordered a pizza and the meat balls as appetizers. After exactly 1 hour of waiting, listening to fighting in the kitchen and not even receiving the appetizer, we decided to leave. We watched other people leave before us because they were dissatisfied

This is only the restaurant not the Ramada Ely hotel which I would give 5 stars to for beautiful clean rooms with bath tub, big TV and comfortable beds. I've stayed in a thousand hotels in the last ten years. I'm picky. I like home.
Evah's had a great dinner ! They were busy and service was a little slow but they warned me politely but it was worth it. Plenty of comfort food baked penne Alfredo with some chicken and a few shrimp. The jalapeno soup was great too. I wondered from experience if I should get the advetised tri tip special for a few bucks for breakfast the next day. I was told they put on a spread like you wouldn't believe. Bacon, sausage, waffles, biscuits and gravy, eggs everything! She talked me out of the steak to go and I left a California size tip.
Well breakfast sucked! The overweight hunters mostly occuping the hotel must have eaten it all early ? I find it hard to believe that they could serve all the items promised on tables as big as my old tile kitchen counter at home? No meat, stone cold-somewhat frozen biscuits, no waffles. Nothing. I had instant oatmeal and apples and a few small pancakes out of the el machine-o.
There were no eggs left to speak of and I don't know what the gravy was for.
Honestly a bad McDonald's would beat this buffet any day.
Again I've had so many hotel breakfasts that I'm sick of all of them. Sometimes I was up so early I had to leave before some places had most of the food out. I got here an hour before it was over and I was one of the home team fans leaving the game early to beat the traffic out of the stadium.
Stay at the Ramada. Have dinner then have breakfast at the gas station in the morning on the way out of town.

Very short staffed. Took forever to get set down to a table. Half the tables needed cleared to be able to sit. Then took forever to get food that was ordered. When it came they brought my hamburger with no condements & no food for husband. Had to wait 10 minutes for condiments & husbands food. Then they forgot his breadstick so had to wait for that. Also restaurant was overlooking casino which allowed smoking. Not fun at all.

It is OK, but realize that this is just a place on the second floor in the Ramada Inn, we were OK with it and went on it and ate, but the balcony where you are seated is above the 1st floor casino floor where everyone seemed to be smoking, so you are going to smell it, even though the restaurant has signs of no smoking, the food is average, seemed to be pre prepared food that was just microwaved, we were tired and went on, but it wouldn't be my first choice on a restaurant

After a long day of driving I was able to walk across the highway to Evah's. It was clean and the staff was efficient and friendly.

I enjoy the quiet peaceful atmosphere, the food is wonderful and the service is good. If you don't want "fast food" burgers, Evahs is the best. The menu isn't huge, but what they serve is great.

We ate here for dinner one night and they had obviously been busy prior to our arrival. There were two servers covering the whole restaurant. No host, or, bus boy. It took a while to be sat but they were friendly and helpful on helping us decide on food options. I ordered the spaghetti with a breaded chicken on top covered in cheese. Huge portion, it was 18 bucks or so. I did get two meals out of it. They brought us some bread to eat as well as my appetizer salad that was good. One person ordered a personal size pepperoni pizza which he was impartial to. The other meal was a pork bbq sandwich that was on special, it was ok, but nothing special. Probably left overs from a previous special. All in all it was a bit expensive for what we ordered, it wasn't our favorite location but not a bad place to eat if you are looking for Italian food.

It's the only Italian place you'll find for a hundred miles... literally. Ordered the chicken parm and a dinner salad. Food was okay but over-priced. Service was super slow. Not sure if it was unusually busy for a Sunday night or if it's just normal. Be patient if you choose to eat here--bring a book or a board game. It's a bit of a wait.

Not too shabby, meatballs were pretty good and I also had a panini sand which that was decent. Service was pretty basic but after all it was Ely so for that it was fine. Like I said not too shabby

Stopped in on the way back to Las Vegas due to ad in the Ely magazine, especially "6 craft beers on tap" and sounded like good food. Seated quickly, waitress took our order within 15 minutes. 45 minutes later, nothing, no water, no drinks, no "hey, we're really shorthanded...etc." So we got up and left. Very bizarre. Others were served, but maybe this is a "locals preferred" place. There are other places to eat if you don't live here. We went to Hometown Pizza and had a very nice meal. No reason for us to ever (Evah) return here!

Great food. Not a big menu to choose from. Had a pizza, wish they werent so skimpy on the toppings. But pizza is some of the best I've had. Will go there again. Good food, great people, good environment.
