Joli bâtiment à l'intérieur comme à l'extérieur et la dame qui a tamponné notre guide de survie était très sympa

Such a cool historic spot! Still active today, and tons of interesting little tidbits to learn about. The person working there, Luz, was so kind and informative, it was lovely being shown around by her. She even offered to show us around some other historic buildings in town later! Worth a visit, and don't forget to bring a donation to support them!

I stopped in a few days ago to get my HWY 50 Passport stamped. The lady working there was super nice and very informative. I really appreciate the extra effort she took to answer questions and show me around. If you're passing thru Eureka, definitely stop in and enjoy this beautiful and historic place!

A well built and expertly maintained old building. I would return for a show or concert there has. The interior was quite interesting to see.

The Eureka Opera House was built in 1879 and refurbished to its current beauty in the early 1990s. Along with the Piper's in Virginia City, it is one of the 2 best restored and usable opera houses in Nevada. Things are a little slow with COVID right now, but in pre-pandemic times (and soon again), it hosts various music and community events/rentals. Gayle and I stopped by as part of our recent drive to Ely. We were free to walk around anywhere (with the assistance of a nice lady working there at the time) including the main floor, the hand-painted Curtin, the balcony (including the media room), backstage, and all the performer signatures down the stairs and out. I'd love to come back when the place is happily full, and watching a great performance.

If you're ever in Eureka, you have to visit this building. It's beautiful. The stage curtain is hand painted and is original to the opera house. I believe it was shipped all the way from Minneapolis. It's amazing it's survived until now. One of the ladies working there gave us a tour and lots of interesting information. It was apparent she loved her job. l'm so glad we wandered into this place!

Incredible period opera house that has been pain stakingly preserved and still used for special events. It's not uncommon to have someone like Lacy Dalton do a show here.
