Sorry this is late but we’ve been busy unpacking!! Just wanted to give a huge shout out to this great local company! They recently moved us from Gardnerville to Topaz Ranch Estates. Everything went so smoothly from the estimates to the delivery of our belongings. Preston and Nick did a great job!! They were very detailed oriented and set up our furniture exactly where we wanted it!! Plus they were right on time! Everyone in the office was great too and very reasonably priced!! I highly recommend this local company!!?????

CV Movers moved us out of one house and into another over a 4 day period. The coordination with their office was seamless and efficient, and Miki made sure everything was communicated clearly. The guys were fantastic- very careful with how they handled everything and very hard-working and efficient. They were also friendly and engaging. The crew that moved us in went out of their way to make sure everything ended up where we wanted it to make it easier on us. I would use them again in a heartbeat!

I have used CVM for the last 4 years during multiple moves. They are always on time, fully prepared, careful with moving the most delicate of items. But mostly it’s the guys that make this company SO great. Hardest working in the business. SO PROUD OF THEM! Highly recommended. Special thanks to MIKI and CARLA in the office too! Love you all!

Carson Valley Movers have processed my Move from Zephyr Cove, NV to Santa Barbara, CA. After selling my house in the Cave Rock Community, Miki Jones (Coordinator) came to estimate the Move. She was very professional and personalized the Move to my needs. My personal effect had to go to storage for a time but the arrival in Santa Barbara was punctual and scheduled according to the projection. The Truck Driver (Barry) had organized local helpers and all of them did a great job finalizing the move. I can only express my extreme gratitude at how carful and accommodating those Movers handled my personal effects. Would use them again anytime and would recommend them anytime. WHS

You hear such horrific stories about moving. This company and crew has never let me down. Mickey is so professional and friendly. Open and honest communication hard worker. Diligent about the quality of experience. This is the second and third time I’ve used their services. This one required moving a restored 1967 car, across mountains and deserts. Arrived in excellent shape as did everything else. Jim (driver), Brent (driver and mover), and the entire team made it a magical experience. And very reasonable.

Carson Valley Movers handled my move from Topaz Ranch Estates to Reno beautifully and without a hitch. From the first contact with Karla, Followed by Miki and then the actual move with Brent and Damon, every step was professional and timely. The movers, Brent and Damon showed up on time and loaded the truck very quickly. There was no wasted time and they were finished with the entire move in 6 hours. There we're supposed to be three movers but one failed to show so the estimate was adjusted down and I paid less than expected. Overall, a very good experience.

Last June I contracted Carson Valley Mivers to move my furniture to Colorado. They packed my belongings into a truck and I didn’t realize they also packed items I was going to take. My furniture was delivered in a different truck and I was never advised. Upon checking I noticed a tub with pictures missing and some jewelry was also missing. After almost a year I received a check which I feel was less than the value of one ring.

Great move!!I hired Battle Born Movers to do my move, and they did not show up!I called Carson Valley Movers and they were able to help me out at the last minute! The guys were so nice and courteous and were able to perform the move at the last minute in Tahoe with even a slick tight driveway for the delivery!

Miki personally coordinated everything that my Client needed to get items to three separate destinations by coordinating packing and setting up delivery times of precious family heirlooms.Would recommend them and will use them again for future client needs.

Carson Valley movers, Bless their hearts!TL: DR - [-5 stars--Google doesn't let you choose 0 stars] If you don’t care about your belongings and whether or not they are all handled carefully and not lost in transit, then Carson Valley movers (CVM) are for you because they don’t care about your belongings either!Full disclosure: I signed a contract and paid CVM by check; half as a deposit in good faith before the work and half the day they delivered my belongings. I will own that I was naïve and I should have withheld final payment until I had gone through all of my belongings to ensure everything was there. I mistakenly thought that Carson Valley movers would stand behind their work if anything went wrong. That was not the case.My experience with Carson Valley movers was in July of 2022. The reason I waited to post this review is that I did not want to write it in the heat of the moment, and I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and evaluate the quality of their service in the context of other local businesses. The verdict is clear: CVM are bottom of the barrel when it comes to service. Every other local business that I have dealt with since moving to this area has been helpful and accountable, and acted with integrity if anything did not go correctly. In fact in a few cases local companies reached out to me because they were not satisfied with the level of service they provided to me even if I was happy with their service.I won’t go into all of the events and details of my experience with CVM but here are the salient facts:I paid them well over $10K for their expertise to ensure my belongings would be safely and securely moved to my new home. In the process a large box with contents valued at several thousands dollars went missing. In addition, when I went back to my previous residence to clean I found CVM had left several pieces of expensive cutlery and a few unopened bottles of alcohol behind.I contacted CVM within a week of delivery to my new home when I realized the box was missing. They did nothing to try to find my missing possessions and instead they cashed my check and went on vacation for a week, never bothering to let me know they would be away. Over several weeks I went to their office in person. More than once I offered a substantial reward for the return of my items. They could not possibly have been more apathetic if they tried. They said they did not have the items. They did not offer to look for them, and they did not offer to reimburse me or even talk about filing an insurance claim. They never bothered to respond to calls or emails. They claim the items were stolen off of their truck in San Francisco. I don’t believe that is what happened. It is highly unlikely anyone would be able to wield a very large and heavy box off of the truck on a steep incline and somehow carry it away. But even if it were true CVM were negligent because they knew where they were going to be working. If they were concerned about items being stolen they should’ve provided sufficient personnel so that my belongings were never left unattended.After many weeks they eventually cut me a check for a fraction of the value of my missing belongings.Looking back on the events, I realize it is pointless to be upset with CVM. They are so incompetent they don’t even know the meaning of the word “incompetent”. A picture is worth a thousand words. Because my street in San Francisco is so steep, to prevent a runaway I advised them to put blocks under the wheels of their truck while loading it. They said not to worry because they have rocks they put under the tires. Here is a picture of the truck with the rocks they used (you’ll need to zoom in to the tires). Bless their hearts! How can I possibly be angry with a company where this is the level of their intelligence?
