If you like rooms that don't have functioning door locks this is the hotel for you. They didn't offer me any solutions and they only insisted that I pay for the night despite needing to leave because it didn't have a functioning lock across from a casino and multiple bars it didn't feel safe to not have a functioning lock on my door. Horrible service horrible hotel also the bed had stains on it and was not clean

Do NOT stay here if you are traveling with a dog(s). The online reservation shows a pet fee policy of $20 per pet per night. I made a reservation and received an email with written confirmation of what the online pet policy shows $20. However, upon check I encountered the most discourteous, incompetent, downright nasty employee at the front desk who said the pet policy changed to $40 per pet per night. When I advised the agent of the online price and my written confirmation showing $20 per pet she said it didn’t matter it’s $40. When I asked to speak with the owner she would not give me any contact info and said I would have to wait until Thursday to be able to speak with her which I was checking in on a Monday so I would have to wait three days to have my matter addressed. An extra $40 is not the end of the world, but it’s more about the principle of the matter not to mention the way this person at the front desk handled the whole situation with a terrible attitude and lackluster customer service skills if you even want to say that she had any. So, instead of paying $40 a night because I had two dogs with tax I ended up paying almost 95 extra dollars and the room itself is only 139 lol.

Great location and friendly service, but a few small hiccups
The Historian Inn is in a perfect spot—close to everything yet surprisingly quiet. The room was clean and comfortable, but the AC unit was quite loud and took a while to cool the room. Also, despite being listed as an amenity, there was no hair dryer provided.
On the plus side, the front desk staff was very friendly, and the lobby offers complimentary coffee, tea, and doughnuts—a nice touch to start the day.

Good location and clean room. Love that they are dog friendly and there are trails back behind where you can walk your pups.

The only good thing about this place is the location. The manager is a ghost, the employee is not trained properly to be handling anything complicated. He’s a 19 year old kid. Shouldn’t even be left alone… I booked these rooms MONTHS in advance for conjoined rooms… they didn’t tell us until 2 days before my wedding that they don’t even have conjoined rooms. That was the entire reason we got the hotel. We showed up around 6, cranked the AC because it was SO hot. Came back hours later, from my rehearsal dinner and it was still extremely hot. We are from the area and not new to the heat… thankfully we got two rooms. NOT next to each other like we asked MANY many times… because we had the bridal party getting ready there… then the manager tried to gaslight me the next morning stating “that’s weird they are only 63° in there now” which was total crap because they had to replace the entire unit. That was the room we planned to get ready in. The decorations were all over the room. We then had to switch rooms completely to the other room. No big deal, just down the way. But then called us at 11:10 saying we needed to be out of that room in 20 min for check out… we are staying that night at their hotel. They wouldn’t switch the reservation that wasn’t here yet to the room we already cleared out… completely unprofessional and almost seemed intentionally trying to be confrontational. I literally had to move all 10 women, over again, while trying to get ready for my freakin wedding. They don’t care. Also I couldn’t even put my dress on, the floors were so filthy, my feet were completely black. I had showed that morning and by 10 am they were disgusting… there were even someone else’s FEET PRINTS on the back of the bathroom door …. thankfully my girls are on top of it and we weren’t late. But this hotel was gross. Never ever again. And I’ll be telling anyone and everyone because of how rude they were. I’ve worked hotels. This was terrible.

The room was not as described, pillows and the comforters were smelling bad , we had to wake up in the middle of sleep to get them changed. The breakfast was done by 9:45AM, even though it was promised to be available till 11AM. Doesn't seem to be a place to go again.

Decent place. Older building of course. Room was clean, bed definitely wasn't the worst, the TV system was a little different.

Way, way better than the big chains! Quiet, good location, parking close to the room.
