Pretty disappointed. A couple months ago I was in a minor car accident. The other party admitted fault and was able to compensate me. The annoying part is Amica, my insurer, did nothing. I called them after I filed a claim on the app because I thought that’s what I was supposed to do. It was for a car that I do not have comprehensive coverage on. I did not expect Amica to pay, but I figured since I pay them they might contact the at-fault party or their insurance and fight to get me the money I was owed. Instead they basically said, good luck, call him yourself, and here’s an increase in insurance premiums. Like I think had I just not reported anything to them or been dishonest that I was in an accident, I would be paying less. Instead, my insurance rate went up $100 for something that wasn’t my fault and for something they didn’t pay a penny on. I feel like I’m paying more but I did all the work. Honestly, I tried to switch insurances after they raised my rate but you can’t if you’ve been in an accident recently. So basically I’m disappointed not because they didn’t cover it (again I didn’t expect them to pay, the other guy was the one who should pay) but because they did nothing to help me after I was in a car accident. If I have to deal with the other guys’ insurance myself, what do I pay Amica so much for? I guess I’m only paying Amica hundreds in case I get sued? Or like they only come into play in extreme cases? So….that’s a bummer. I’m paying for worst case scenario insurance and the cost went up because someone else t-boned me. Bummer.

The charge for the insurance is off the chart not a good company not cost effective. The cost is very unrealistic.

I have received many offers from them through the mail and it contained a special offer number under my name so I decided to give them call. The quote was so ridiculous I had to hang up. I don't have high-end vehicles and not new. I was quoted $5500.00 for six months meaning their policy would cost us over $10,000 per year. We don't have any tickets or accidents in our history and the years of our vehicles are, 2015, 2013 and 1966. I don't want to receive anymore junk mail from them they wasted my time. They are gouging certain people or maybe I was purposely discouraged from getting a policy through them by their representative.

Super annoying. For years I have received their junk mail. Relentless. The worst part is they include a plastic card so it stops my shredder. Forces me to open the mail and see their company logo, pull it all apart and shred separately. So not only do they spam you with endless tree killing mail, but they make it so frustrating to dispose of that its just an annoyance. Ill never do business with this company and you should feel the same.Owner update. Instead of asking people to opt out of non-targeted marketing, why not just fix your marketing so you better utilize resources to target customers who will actually buy... what a concept.
